Guess I'm just not getting it. Still can't put a fade from black transition at the beginning of my video.

I haven't tried this, but thinking about it, when you start your project, instead of added a theme, leave it blank or add it instead of the theme.
EDIT: ok that's out, you must select a theme to proceed. :/
Don't worry though, I'm on the case lol.

If I remove all the theme components and just add a single video of mine (so there's only one video in the project), I can't add any transitions at all. It seems you can only add transitions between separated clips, which sucks, or you'll have to use those themes to introduce your video, which sucks.

I believe this is how this whole thing works:

1. Double-tap the Share button: Starts a new recording and erases whatever unsaved footage was recording prior.

2. Double-tap the Share button and let it run 15 minutes: Saves the video upon completion.

3. Double-tap the Share button, then hit the upload Share button: lets you upload/save the footage regardless of whether 15 minutes have passed.

The lingering question is what it records when you're not double-tapping the share button at all. In theory, it should record your last 15 minutes automatically and erase when it's done, but at least for FFXIV it won't happen unless I manually double-tap the share button to start the recording.

I hardly ever do manually record, even in FF14. If something cool happens, I hold down the share button til the menu pops up, and then it saves the last 15 minutes.

I thought holding it down just did a screenshot..The share button always confused me..Noticed yesterday that I had about 30GB of recordings..
 
At least for me, uploading/sharing a video boots me out of FFXIV, so it's not something I can do when I'm in the middle of a dungeon or raid.

Yes, I'm running into the same problem here. I have a work around in mind. Replace the title clip with one of just all black, then from there use the fade in from black.
This is what I'm about to try. Its just janky enough that it might work! ;)
 
Ahh, here's an idea. I find a game with a loading screen, record it and trim the 2-3 seconds of pure black and save that as a clip. Then I can add those few seconds of black to the beginning of my videos and transition from it.

He's getting quite a few comments/questions about music fade-out, so hopefully it'll come in a future update.

EDIT: Wow, they started working on it in February. That's longer than I expected to be honest.
 
I made a 1 min sizzle reel and upped it to FB. I'll have to transfer it to YT tonight.
 
I wish they could add that Phantom Pain trailer fast forward effect. It would be great to use during pattern-watching stealth segments.
 
It seems a little more sophisticated than Upload Studios. I can't put in custom text anywhere in the video, I think.

Just some test footage of my first playthrough of Ground Zeroes. I'm experimenting with the zoom effect when transitioning between encounters. I'm trying to zoom in when the next area is in the middle of the screen, off in the distance. It might be a little mind bending/headache inducing, but I like it.

Oh, and skip to 3:35 for the lulz. I really did that, and I felt really dumb.

This really needs a fade in/out option for music. I hate tha fact that I have to cut the song and it just stops there. Also, fade to black and from it option for the entire video.

Other than that, ShareFactory is a system seller for my kind of taste more than all the Infamous and Killzones in the world. I love me some montages. Well played, Sony.
 
You just know this will shine with whatever Media Molecule have got coming.

And Destiny. Destiny better have theater and forge coming too.

I love video editing, so it was nice to see that sharefactory has some well designed and simple tools. Any more complicated and I think I'd rather work on a Mac.

It was set to Friends, which is weird. I thought I'd set it public. Changed it back to public. Let me know if that works.
