I would say that since Tretton they have an entire team of smart and gifted business-leaders, regardless of intenet gamer good-guy points.

Damn, PS5 is almost certainly going to move more units than PS4, particularly if Sony pushes back the PS6 launch. Really impressive, especially with so many market related hurdles this gen (COVID, supply chain shortages, rapid inflation, tariffs, AI boom, etc..)

People need to remember that Switch 2 had giant launch numbers, and people who wanted the machine got it. They fullfilled all the hype demand early. It's unusual but Switch 2 supply was unusual.

Both Sony and Nintendo are doing incredible.

Well technically we are just in ps5 third year since pandemic stole 3 years of our lives and same with ps5. There is still time for very enticing exclusives. The ps5 hardware is very good and I enjoyed Stellar blade, Death stranding series, Astrobot, Silent hill 2 remake, GT7, but I want more exclusives ( especially more from Japan ) especially games that will not be infested with twisted woke, dei and trans crap.

I don't disagree. However, their hardware and software were also obviously extremely healthy during the Ps1 and PS2 years. Biggest difference now is the additional crazy amount of cash they get from PS+

I don't think so. PS5 is their first generation with healthy profit margins, especially on hardware.

Exclusives I believe will come only from first party. Japanese 3rd party cannot ignore Switch at this point.

Look into smaller games, those have none of that.

Sony usually supports their consoles more than 10 years. They had to discontinue PS4 early due to chip shortage in 2020.

But this fact is very telling purely from a SalesGAF standpoint. PS5 turrned 5 y.o. and somehow it outsold brand-new Nintendo console during holiday quarter. With more or less the same price even after the promotions. It's an anomaly, nothing to do with platform warring, sales exist in context.

Hopefully Saros, Marvel Tokon, Phantom blade, Wolverine are the start. Hopefully continious flow of exclusives. Third party GTA6 will also be big for ps5 especially for ps5 pro to showcase its tech. I just hope for another project from the 1st and 2nd party teams like team asobi, shift up, xdev and Kojima in this ps5 gen. Sony must not ignore VR which has good fanbase, interest growing and PSVR2 is very good hardware.

Yes it's going to be a much longer generation than the PS4 and PS3 gens. When you look at PS4 sales in its 6th year it drops off fairly rapidly, versus PS5 in 2026 with GTA 6 being a potential monster demand wise, and Sony 1st party finally delivering some games.
