Kaz is doing this again so you cant cheese the game or buy the really expensive cars in a reasonable amount of time be pre paired to play the game for a few months if you want everything and im sure the used car dealership is going to have exclusive cars like the older GT games but now its going to be set to the online servers time instead of the in-game timer "which you could cheese"

But what will the millions of submarine people do!? Why does no one think of the submarine and cabin in the woods people??

It’s 2021, this is fine. Even more so in 2022+ when this releases.
Didnt you hear? The narrative changed the second gamers trended to digital purchases and forced online connections where people press ACCEPT for those terms of service splash screens.

The submarine guy and hermit in the woods all magically changed to 5G compliance in 2014.

But what about the only console you can enjoy offline and which doesn't need activation?
Anyway, it's a stupid decision.
If you argue that I guess you are fine with Xbox, too.
And would be fine with every game needing to be online for single player.

Why the hell does a racing game need to be always online? What's the point? It's not fine.
I agree. If the only reason for the online connection is to shove MTX in your face then it should not be a requirement... but people will still buy it anyway so if it's happening it's happening.

The problem with Craig Turismo is not the always online but the cross gen graphics of it.

FMH5
30fps@4k
no raytracing (only visamode)
mtx everywhere
loot boxes
free rammers
GT7
60fps@4k
raytaced reflections (replays, show room only)
12+ cars on screen

Forza Horizon 5 only runs at 30 fps?

And you posted a FH4 video to support it?

You were triggered soo much
Maybe you should read the entire article you posted instead of just reading the outdated headline.
You´re right, here the update.

FMH5
30fps@4k
planned 60fps@F4K
no raytracing (only visamode)
mtx everywhere
loot boxes
free rammers?
reused car sounds?
bugs (shifter)
garage - car picture
V12 swap-upgrade for every car (V12 vs V12)
a map filled with shit, worse than any ubisoft RPG
terrible gui ...?
trash loot (wheel spin)
eliminator ...battle royale in a racing game, camping with a car ... /sigh

Raytracing in replays and show room or only in visamode ...hmm.

It’s not cross gen. PD just sucks nowadays. GT Sport is carried by it’s lighting because the textures are god awful. Same thing with GT Sport. They used to be pioneer in graphics but after GT4 they have been on a decline.

Forza Horizon 5 is also cross gen.

Why on earth would you need online connection for SP offline campaign??

On a second thought I think it's a part of the long term plan, so they'll be able to shut down the game entirely similar what they did with GT5&6, in case people won't jump one GT8 when it launches.

But everyone has internet!
People are intentionally dumb it seems.
It means once Sony shuts down there GT7 servers, and based on history they will eventually, you can't play the game anymore. Not for mp but also not for sp content. This will also render physical copies even less worth than they are right now anyway because let's be honest, GT7 will receive a lot of patches down the line. The content on the disc will be not worth much two years after launch, in fact it will be some sort of license that will grant you access to the game on Sony's servers.

spoiler? Damn... You were triggered soo much that you've posted Forza Horizon 4. There's no Lootboxes and Microtransactions in Forza Horizon games (Only Vehicle DLCs). You really haven't played the series?

Horizon 5 will also have a 60fps mode as well.

Next gen game that's using Photogrammetry data

Yeah, completely unacceptable way of leasing SP games under the guise of selling them...so glad I still have older Turismos without this.

I suspect the real problem to cause this is the crappy car manufacturers demanding this, so the rights to the end user for licensed vehicles isn't indefinitely - as I seem to remember an issue with an outrun game on the 360 getting delisted because of an expired Ferrari license.

I would happily have them offer a more expensive version of the game , or a barren version of the game without this requirement. I just don't accept trojan horse viruses in purchases.

What will everyone do when Sony decides to turn off the GT7 servers?
Causals, who make up the most of the playerbase, will be playing other games by then.

Hardcore players, who bought the game knowing very well that the servers will close one day, will throw a fit like toddlers because they never learn.

That’s wierd. Why would it need that unless some of the content is online only? Maybe realtime dynamic weather or something similar?

Well, if there’s too much of an uproar I bet they can change it.

I’d expect PD/Sony to follow the pattern of closing the servers of the preceding titles 6 months or so after the release of their successors.

  • GT5: Released November 2010. Servers shut down May 2014.
  • GT6: Released December 2013. Servers shut down March 2018.
  • GT Sport: Released October 2017. Servers presumably shutting down late 2022 or early 2023.
