Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 Announce Trailer (PS4/Xbox One)

Eh, I dunno. Looking at the post & the trailer, it's not specified. I would at least think it runs in 1080p, but the fact that not once did they use the word "remaster" (or any mention of any enhancement whatsoever) leaves me with some doubt.

I will buy both RE5 and RE6. I will only buy RE4 if they fixed the aiming, so it can be done on the right stick. The HD remake on 360 had awful controls. I'm still very happy with my RE4: Wii Edition that I play on my Wii U.

They're releasing them in backwards order which is really weird. I guess I'll wait until they're all out

Was thinking 1080-4k rez at a solid no dips 60fps with 16xAF, improved textures and lots of AA like tearaway, but you're right it's the best option we have right now, just wish we had an even better one.

In solo Sheva has a tendency to follow too closely, and often gets in the way if you're advancing cautiously or especially when searching all around for secrets. That can be pretty damn annoying. But if you play it straight up move at a good clip she's less bothersome. I love the character, just not always her pathfinding/follow behavior.

It's not happening, especially not with a game that sold as poorly as Bayonetta. There's lots of games I'd put in line before it for a 4k 60fps massively improved port anyway.

I'm all in for Resi 4, you just know though that with "Fall 2016" that'll probably mean it goes head-to-head with some huge new games, so I'll probably end up playing it in 2017 after a sale.

I will definitely buy RE4 (yet again), probably will buy RE5, will mostly likely not buy RE6.
I've finished all of the other mainline RE games multiple times, but never got more than a handful of hours into RE6. I just did not like it at all.

The most optimistic outcome that I could think of for that game is if they tossed it in with RE2make, since RE3 has always reused a ton of assets from its predecessor. Even I doubt that would happen, especially with how little the game contributes to the overall storyline. CV really should have been 3, but politics and all that.

Checked Wiki for what platforms it had been ported to, and.. GameCube, PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, Wii, iOS, Android, Zeebo, PlayStation 3 (HD), Xbox 360 (HD), PlayStation 4 (HD), Xbox One (HD). Holy shit.
That's also not counting the fact that there's two RE4 ports on the PC: the notorious Ubisoft port and the one that came out alongside the HD remaster.

Never played 5 or 6 but enough time has passed that I'm over the betrayal of RE's roots that I think I can give them ago finally. Will buy.
Also I don't think Re2Make is years away, those games came out super quickly back in the day I don't think they take nearly as long to make if they are using the old formula.
I think that we are closer to RE3 remake happening now than ever before, really does seem Capcom are making an effort with RE now.

This kind of comments are always funny. PC is not a fixed platform. It will look better on some PCs, it will look worse on others, and some won't even be able to run it at all. Assuming all PCs will be able to run them better than PS4/XB1 is silly.
