Yup! Pretty much everything will. Check out the FAQ for more info: http://www.re4hd.com/?page_id=104Will enemies also get updated textures?
I believe that's just part of the revised texture, sorry. :-( Though I agree, that would have been huge. Also, did 3D modeling these papers mean the game naturally started rendering shadows for them? Because god DAMN that's a huge upgrade.
No decisions yet on whether we'll do an updated demo for the castle section, sorry. We'll most likely decide on that once that portion of the game is complete. Is there any estimate or updated demo/Castle part on the horizon?
I don't believe so.With the real glass 3D edit s, can you break it?
Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to watch the video. I have that on my list of things to revise once I get to that room. One criticism: In the new video, Leon zooms in on the machinery with the scope and the the texture for some of the front panels is clearly flipped, with text being mirrored. I imagine that's an error?
While I haven't personally reviewed those individual textures yet, generally speaking if we're able to find the original source for the texture, then the text would reflect that (unless it's something that completely doesn't fit -- an example I've mentioned before is that some of the notes in the village section of the game actually come from an Influenza notice, and so that was revised). On the other hand, if we are re-creating the texture from scratch, we do our best to improvise text that fits with the context of the area and the game as a whole.![]()
Is the text actually readable in those notes in the wall? If so, did you improvise or reconstructed from the source material?
Every time I see this thread bumped, my heart skips a beat!
There are not enough superlatives in the world do describe the love and attention being poured into this.
Amazing work!
Hi everyone! New update from inside the clock tower, along with some quick replies to the questions since the last update. As always, you can follow the project at re4hd.com

Thanks again, everyone, for all the encouragement!
Something to keep in mind,
if you're baking the shadows into the textures, if people ever figure out how to implement Ambient Occlusion into the game, those areas will basically be getting shadowed twice. It looks really great how it is, but to future proof might be worth saving a version without shadowing as well as a backup?
Will you be doing any 3D model enhancing with characters like you're doing with the environment? Like making Leon's gloves and arms less blocky?
Exceptional work so far. Is there an estimate for how complete it is at this point in time?
Progress Summary from their official site:
http://www.re4hd.com/?page_id=1656
And this was actually last updated on 2/5 so they're possibly a bit beyond this.
Seems to me that they're on track to have it finished before the end of the year. Who knows though!
Interesting to see how this version will compare to the PS4 version announced today

I hope this is bumped because Capcom has decided to use Crisdecuba's work for the upcoming RE4 re-release. RE4 is coming out last so it makes sense that they would need extra time to use it.

Capcom should use this as the port for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and give these guys a large cut. It is evident that Capcom are using the vanilla PC version as the port for XB1 and PS4.

Maybe that's why RE4 is last out of the 3 games.
