The differences are way more noticeable there.
Dot50Cal said:They are the same. Well, somewhat. The 360 version has some audio files removed in the US demo, but the ps3 versions are all 1:1 with each other.

I played the demo on PS3 about 10 times last night. I don't recall any obvious or even remotely annoying framerate dips.
That one's an issue with the 1080i/1080p output. Sort of hard to compare what the PS3 version does in that case... given it doesn't have the options.konrad77 said:If this is an early PS3 build then I am amazed because I couldn't find any Screen Tearing issues which the 360 was full of (Even more than Mass Effect).

Thank you. And the game in those screens look pretty much identical. The framerate issues look like they will be a no-factor in the final game. I'm PS3 only, so I don't have the benefit of comparing the game on another system. I'm not worried about how the final game will compare on each system. I think the game looks beautiful in the demo. The important thing for me is the framerate, which kinda dipped when the zombies/ganados started pouring in at the PA section.Angelus Errare said:http://kotaku.com/5112949/resident-evil-5-co+op-event-part-the-second-the-new-stuff
Again, old as hell. You people are about to get worked up over nothing. Regardless, I say this will get to 251 pages.
PS3 has Vsync on, which leads to framerate issues.konrad77 said:If this is an early PS3 build then I am amazed because I couldn't find any Screen Tearing issues which the 360 was full of (Even more than Mass Effect). Side by side it looks like 360 has an egde on the Texture resolution.
You only say that because you're aY2Kev said:Why can't we do one of these threads without having meltdowns? Multiconsole owners should be able to get together and discuss the technical details of each game version without having fanboy meltdowns and blind people offering their gratuitous commentary. If you don't care or can't see a difference, fine. If you want to purchase the best possible version of a game, and base your definition of "best" around technicalities, then this thread is for you. People who are well versed in technical jargon are discussing said jargon and evaluating how each game is being presented and the implications of that. There really doesn't need to be so much crap in the thread. Discussing capturing equipment and making gifs of framerate issues has value and is pertinent to the topic. Whining about agendas at other forums is not.
There's no agenda here and it doesn't really necessarily matter what version you're getting.

RockmanWhore said:I have the feeling that those so-called framerate drops are just some lag problem. The framerate didn't bother me at all when playing alone, but I had quite a few hiccup when playing online.

Textures have one more level of detail on the 360.
Aquanox said:A sharpening effect will not bring back the detail missing from the blur image in the PS3 version. It will just apply an artificial sharpening effect based on the texturing around but will not be nearly as accurate as the original render. That, considering your TV has this feature and applies it as good as Photoshop does (which obviously doesn't)
Next time people will come suggesting to apply a soften effect on TVs to dissimulate the lack of antialiasing in some games.
I'd go for the best experience out of the box any day - where out of the box implies no install times.
Capcom seems to be still having trouble with PS3 development if anything else.guise said:Am i right in thinking the PS3 demo was like 950mb whereas the 360 demo was about 500mb? I was expecting the PS3 to have higher res textures or something... whats up with the filesize difference?
