For anyone who prefers the more compact version, I updated the Wikipedia article and brought it up-to-date with what we know so far.
PS: Can't wait to hear the soundtrack.
Yes. It looks like good fun.kayzai said:WOAH!

Claire: "Look, there's some information we need to find out. Were there any computers around here?"
Steve: "There are three and guards...eh...only used them for games...oh, and porn, too!"
I love how Steve just stands there not even aiming most of the time.king zell said:

The second time, it grew on me and I played for 5 hours straight :lol
Having played other RE games before though, the fact that headshots weren't "critical" in RE:UC was quite a jarring difference. I hope that's changed in this one...
Yeah, there was a sweet spot you had to hit to make their heads pop. If I recall, it was like dead-center at the top of their forehead.Jaded Alyx said:They were if you got them right!
It always felt a few inches too high to me, like the crest of their skull. What bugged me was that if you didn't hit that exect sweet spot you could unload 1/4 clip from a submachine gun into their face and their head would still be whole. It wasn't a game killer, but it was pretty ridiculous.bumpkin said:Yeah, there was a sweet spot you had to hit to make their heads pop. Gah, I'm so conflicted. Not to beat a dead horse, but as I watched the full off screen footage the camera drove me absolutely nuts, especially because everything looks so awesome otherwise. You can hear the rep talking about how it's through the eyes of the character this time around, blah blah blah, as some sort of awesome feature, but as it bobs and weaves wildly at inopportune moments it's as if your character has cerebral palsy. Not to mention some of the zooming is also pretty bizarre. Maybe I missed the part of RE where Claire has bionic eyes?defferoo said:IGN has new videos from the Comic-Con build (both direct feed and off screen). I know there's a certain stigma behind the "funhouse ride" aspect of rail shooters that a more active camera is supposed to help alleviate, but certain conventions exist for a reason. It could be a make or break issue for the title, which looks potentially amazing. I just hope the developers aren't too stubborn to absorb the criticisms from the gaming press and work on making the gameplay experience a little more stable when it needs to be. Considering the sheer amount of atmosphere going for it I'm desperate to see them get this game right. The fact that it's been slated for 2010 gives me hope that they'll have time to iron things out. Until then I'll just cross my fingers.
Btw, can anyone who attended E3 confirm whetheror not the Comic-Con build is the same one shown at E3?

And they've totally Leon-ified Steve's design.
