Lol

This makes the series seem very up its' own butt with how callback heavy it is. Like somehow their version of Raccoon City was super iconic or that anyone remembers what Jorah the Andal's character name is.

He's from the best movie in the series, that's all I remember.

thats one of the worst edted trailers i have seen in a while. the 50 second japanese teaser trailer did a much, MUCH better job.

I literally have no idea who he plays in this. I recognized him more from Game of Thrones and this reminded me he was in this series too. Did he design the creepy hologram girl AI? Or did he make the T virus? His character name I'll never get in a million years. I don't even remember which Resident Evil movies he has been in lol

He was in Apocalypse and the main enemy in Extinction were he also mutated into a Tyrant.

His name is Dr. Isaacs, and he actually got that name because originally he was going to be played by Jason Isaacs, which is a good friend of Paul and had a cameo as the doctor in the end of the first movie that appears looking at Alice during the experiments.

He just played like a generic bad guy scientist in the third movie and IIRC he died. So it's weird the trailer ends on this big confrontation with him like it would mean anything. I'm guessing they're just glad he agreed since he's a big "star" for this type of movie? I dunno.

This is one of those movies that I'll catch when it pops up on Starz or HBO sometime mid next year and I'll be unable to avert my eyes.

My wife said "The Final Chapter? She's been doing this for, what, 20 years? After this one they can reboot the franchise."

Ohhhh Milla.... Sooo Good..

Movies as soo bad but soo fun to watch. lol. except the first one which was the best!

That opening to the trailer was great. I'm a big fan of resident evil (the games lol) so I take these films as a weird fanfiction/"what if?"

Looks like good dumb fun action.

I actually love that they're going back to Raccoon City.

Me too! I figured since it was filmed in South Africa it'd be following RE5 but Raccoon City? What a pleasant surprise! I'll be there day one like with the past 5 movies. It can't be as bad as Retribution...I hope :(

I thought they really overuse the lazer hallway stuff until I realized the games do too lol

Well I'm obviously going to watch that, seen all the others, shame the other main actors aren't returning. Also, that song always brings memories of Burnout Paradise :)

FUCK YES!!!

Maybe all the people who, because of ghostbusters, suddenly cared about women in sci-fi and action movies will go see this.

Yeah because the resident evil series didn't draw in many people and didn't make much money before.....

Duuuuuuh. Yes, the series has been printing money since day one, back when it resurrected the zombie genre. My post was not about the new entry finding an audience, but rather it was about the folks who claimed to be so gratified to at last be seeing a female hero working it out for herself. It seemed like a pretty big deal to them. Given that this is part 6, they have some catching up to do, if they would like to maintain their, uh, wokedness.

Unless, of course, that was a cynical con by a corporation to elevate the "meaning" of their made-by-committee remake: to exploit moviegoers by highlighting some MRA loons and their antics.
