Crash seriously that washed up ass character? Think about the characters in this game now that the really good fond memories from your child hood till now. Crash is so irrelevant its sad. The raiden issue is dumb too raiden was in a game that changed the mgs series completely and was really really big on ps2. you want super bot to make a different game from smash bros! well here you go.

Someone how everyone think they favorite characters is going to make it in the game.

Its just not going to happen,maybe if the game had a unlimited budget than yeah.

The supposed reddit "leaks" are clearly just extracted images from the beta files. I'm having issues decoding them, but here's part of the Stowaways level for proof:


I've just been opening them as RAW files in Photoshop, and guessing the header details. Someone else might have a better idea on how to do it. I'm heading to bed now, but if someone else wants to give it a try, here are all the level select files:

Raiden was universally disliked and is a main reason why people hate MGS2.

I seemingly stand corrected about the leak being fake.

Excited for sir daniel, only disappointment is no spyro, and after playing the demo it's no dealbreaker.

And Ninja Raiden makes me excite. I love MGS4 and MGS2 is my favorite mgs game ever.

No.... He wasn't he was made for japanese females not us just because non real mgs fans don't like him doesn't mean the game wasn't huge for ps2. Raiden deserves a spot as much as snake

I've been warning people for months to not expect crash to be in the game. Saying it just might not be possible. But this goes beyond that.

But seriously you guys have to admit you expected at least one huge name third party character to make the cut. It's only common sense that a Sony Smash Bros would have to have at least a little more emphasis on third party than Nintendo. And yet where Nintendo got Snake, Sony only got the side character Raiden. Where Nintendo got mega superstar Sonic, Sony only got the fairly recognizable Big Daddy who only appeared in one great game and one ok game as an enemy. And where we could have gotten the cool dante, they ruin it by putting in the new one nobody likes.

Heihachi is the best third party character they have in that sense, but surely you can see where people expected a little bit more from the third party heavy Sony's nostalgia game. I wish I could say "no crash? well who cares cause Mega Man" or cloud or lara croft or Rayman or whoever.

That's why people will be upset if this ends up being legit.

It's possible they did. It was just weird that they would blur the pictures with leaks, and expect the hardcore fans to crack it.

I could understand Spyro, because they're already making alot of money off of that franchise (or a spin-off of it at least), but Crash? They've been sitting on that IP doing shit all for 4 years. In November last year their CEO said they have no plans and no idea what to do with it...erm, how about some free publicity?

IF this is actually the case (I do say this with my handsome tin foil hat on) it has to be one of the BEST ways to troll and get publicity at the same time in the history of gaming.

Ugh.... Raiden and Donte? Why? I hope this isn't real, I really do. If anything, I'd want Old Snake, not Raiden or Solid Snake. In regards to the Capcom rep, I'd much rather have someone else for a third party slot. Why not Tron Bonne?

Why would sony even approach capcom for dino?the guy would only bring in more hate,rather not have any capcom character at all if all they were offering was dino and snake should be in it as well as crash,lara and spyro,without them the roster is incomplete since they are the very definition of playstation icons of the past.....but whatever gonna get this game anyways

Raiden? well I guess that's better than nothing from MGS at all. I would have loved to see old Snake. They probably could have done some funny stuff with him.

Something odd about these pictures its like they are just pieces of the stage instead of the whole level.

Maybe some are too big?The Uncharted stage looks really good though.

Yeah I couldn't believe they would put in pretty much the only character in gaming that would push away more gamers than it would bring in. Most bad choices is just annoyance at a wasted slot, like with evil cole. But this goes way way beyond that.

It's Stage Selection Icon, I bet. I mentioned that in other thread..

Edited: Yep, I knew it. (Just saw picture just now.)

Look like 14 stages. :)

These are only 20 characters, that seems a bit low, eh? Maybe there'll be more in the final build of the game.
Raiden should be more fun to play than Snake, don't understand the complaints about him.
DMC Dante, no Lara Croft, no Crash, no Demon's Souls, no Team Ico and no FF at all is very disappointing though. Lara and Lightning would be free promotion for Tomb Raider and the inevitable FFXIII-3 but maybe Square just doesn't want to give them anything for whatever reason.

Do anyone remember the website who selling the games mention 20+ characters, 14+ stages and 30+ Env. Characters.

So far, it was spot on with 20 characters and 14 stages. It made me wonder if they know what they have at the moment.
