Nice me too.I'm moist
Just think of what it would take for PS5 to be 13 TFLOPS. That means Navi 20 would have to MORE THAN DOUBLE the performance/watt of Vega 20..... and do so solely through architectural improvements since Vega 20 is already on 7nm.
That would be no less than the greatest leap in efficiency we've ever seen in Radeon's history.
Sorry man but that is sounding wildly optimistic at this point, especially in light of the recent rumors about Navi.

1080 Ti-level gaming performance at 150W would represent roughly a 100% increase in performance per watt compared to Vega 64/Vega 20, for the record.
So yeah... that's one HELL of an increase especially considering Vega 20 is already 7nm.
If that's actually your prediction then okay. We'll see. My guess is you will be disappointed. I'd be happy to be wrong.
Here's the Webm link...I can't figure out how to embed for the life of me.Higher resolution webm version please lol
As of right now the specifications are pretty much finalized some of the parts are a bit pricey at the moment so it wont be released for a while. Looking at another year to year and a half before its released but it should be announced very soon. Development kits are circulating Bend, Santa Monica, ND and Sucker Punch and Guerrilla are all hands on. The machine is 100% backwards compatible and very powerful. I have a better format but just to get it out there to you AMD Ryzen cpu custom configuration 3.20 ghz, 7nm Navi gpu 1.121 ghz 18GB RAM @880GB/s
PS experience returning, Most devs already have dev kits for ps5 ( Spoiler: It's a monster), Sony prepping hard for ps5 and one of the reason for no e3 next year because they blew all their load this year and got nothing new to show next year (They want to show new stuff at psx)
4K/60 stable and at the same time kinda monster
Not for nothing, but Zen and SSD were the natural progression the tech was headed. There was no other alternative going into 2020 with advancing processing and speed.
The easiest and safest bets.
Nobody was thinking they'll put SSD builtin the console though. And most of us didn't think they'd put any SSD into the next-gen console just due to lack of size of the SSD and price.
Nice me too.
F5 till release date lolNo more leaks? What a sad day![]()

My bad i got it mixed up
How we know Sony isn't being shady & using a GPU that's capable of half-precision floating points & using the half-precision numbers?Maybe is 13 TFlops at FP16. oh Lewd
I like your sarcasm latelyHow we know Sony isn't being shady & using a GPU that's capable of half-precision floating points & using the half-precision numbers?
I'm woke!
PS5 is 12.9tflops half-precision nice try Sony, you almost got me.
We'll just invent our own leaks and rumours:
* AMD's NAVI APU will be exclusive to the PS5. Won't be coming to other machines (PC, Xbox, Nintendo).
* All PS5s will have a removable 1TB HDD, coupled with a 16GB onboard SSD.
* 24GB RAM at launch. PS5 Pro will ship with 32GB.
* The Dual Shock 5 will be almost identical to the Dual Shock 4, except it'll say "Dualshock 5", be a dark blue colour, and will support quick charge.
* The PS5 will be a dark blue, that most people will claim is black.
* The initial marketing campaign will continue the "For the players" tagline.
* The console will actually be super quiet, except for the first batch which will ship with busted fans that will be noisy.
* Plugging an external HDD drive into the machine with PS4 games loaded will work seamlessly.
Actually, that last one would be rather nice.

PSVR2 comes bundled with a 'Lap Dance By Cerny' game.
FP16 is soooo last year!Maybe is 13 TFlops at FP16. oh Lewd
Is this man crying or laughing? Not familiar with him but it seems like he's hurting on the inside.......When I first saw that avatar, he seemed elated, but blown up,
Yes, SSD prices are projected to fall even more with Storage size increasing, so it's the natural evolution here........I think with mass adoption (in consoles), the transition will be much easier.....PS2 was what pushed DVD and PS3 bluray, So I peg this as a similar scenario relative to mass adoption.....Prices have tumbled hard of late, but that SSD is still looking like a pricy element to add. The question I suspect is what's going to happen to the pricing of traditional platter-based hdd's as there is going to need to be some sort of bulk storage system.
I mean on one hand I can well imagine SSD prices per TB to halve again over the next year, but I just don't see them getting low enough to allow for an all solid-state solution when realistically 2TB is the minimum these machines need to offer.

There's some new "insider" at Reeeee claiming the actual console will have 9TF.![]()
Pheonix said:Its actually very very very true. Do you know what a 25%GPU advantage translates to? Say the PS5 is 10TF, that means the Ana will be 12.5TF. If the PS5 is 12TF that means Ana is 15TF. I can't stress enough how impossible all that is. And that kind thinking stems from a gross lack of understanding of how these things work. But let me try and elaborate.
At the heart of these consoles is the APU. When looking at the APU you will be remiss to focus on CUs and whatnot. Rather focus on the size of the chip. Lok at the chips in the OG PS4/XB1/PS4pro/XB1X.... its not a coincidence that they all had a die size of between 320mm2 to 360mm2. That because the size of the chip pretty much dictates the heat characteristics/TDP.
Now lets look at the size of the components in that chip. At 16nm, each of the 44CUs in the XB1X took up an area of 3mm2 each. That means of the 360mm2 of the XB1X die, 132mm2 was used for GPU CUs alone. another 70mm2 was used for the CPU ( that's 202mm2 now) leaving 158mm2 for memory controllers and what not. On a 7nm process, and since we are still using GCN, each CU will come in at around 1.5mm2. Cool thing about that is that even if they went for 64CU (and disable 4 CU) the GPU CU will have a total footprint of only 89mm2. The CPU will still take up around 70mm2 because its a zenCPU and its bigger than the Jaguar CPU. Between the CPU + GPU we are looking at a total die size of just 159mm2. Lets tack on another 150mm2 (which is excessive) for memory controllers, secret sauce, errors in my estimates and other stuff and we still end up with an APU that is 309mm2. That is smaller than any of the APUs in all the previous consoles (PS and XBox included).
What this means is that even while building an APU smaller than what they had to build the last time they can fit in the absolute best GPU that the GCN architecture will allow them to fit. What this also means is that the only way they differ from each other (outside of special sauce) will come down to what clocks they run their APU at. Which in turn will come down to what kinda cooling solution they adopt.
And remember, the size of the APU is what determines its rice. Why this is important, is that if say MS is willing to spend twice as much on their APU as Sony does, it won't make a difference because there is nothing to spend that money on. An 8 core CPU + 64CU GPU will still fall within the confines of a 310mm2 APU. And based on the last adored TV video, we can at least see why the R7 GPU has a die size as big as it is even though its on 7nm and why navi shouldn't have the same issue. That may very well be the only improvement Navi has over vega.

Which proves he is just talking out of his ass to get some forum clout, amd arch teraflops is not equal to the performance you get from nvidias.Ugh .. don't give 'em oxygen until there's a good reason to take it seriously - just more anon_random noise at this point - anyway they're saying equivalent to Nvidia 1080 performance - so 9 NvidiaFlops I guess
As for VFX_Veteran's post regarding the TFLOPS: considering he backed out, I'll look at it as speculation and not much more than that. In case this happens again, the staff will action it.
Which is why he comes off as fake lolActually if he says its 9 nvidia TFlops, that must mean its over 12 AMD TFlops.
It would mean Navi matches Pascal while still retaining GCN. Impressive really1080 performance with a 9TF GPU would point to really good efficiency gains by AMD with Navi. So I think that's believable. Another way to look at it, ~Vega64 performance for fewer flops.
Seems reasonable.
Theres a rumor going around claiming that next gen consoles will have CPUs.
Also doesn't matter because blu ray causes blindness. Can't see the games with no eyesIt doesn't matter, those CPUs will be limited to the clock speed of the blu ray drive
Arcturus is not an architecture, its a chip code nameI wonder if some of arcturus architecture features
That would suckI would actually rather the GPU be small so that the SoC can have other features like FPGA or fix function hardware
I'm confused, there was another leak?lol such bs, the timing of this leak is just perfect
Its just an opportunistic prediction disguised as insider info to cash in on the latest AdoredTV video info.I'm confused, there was another leak?
Ah, makes sense. I'm sick of all the insiders and rumours. Just release all the specs so we can just discuss about them openly, and properly. Its just an opportunistic prediction disguised as insider info to cash in on the latest AdoredTV video info.
Its basically a collage of different rumors.
In all fairness after closer inspection the user in the screenshot you posted its not really passing it as rumor, its just his theory that he is posting.Ah, makes sense. I'm sick of all the insiders and rumours. Just release all the specs so we can just discuss about them openly, and properly.
He is not an insider, just posted his predictionHold on so Sony going to revert back to Vega?
Not only that but also its Vega 56 ( an u ferior versio tk 64?)
2020 console perfomance matching a 2017 PC?
Wtf this is dissapointing af if its true
Is this guys even reliable and trustworthy? Who is he?
