there are rumors that nexbox uses zen3
Those rumors were made out of tales from their asses when ppl starting hearing how powerful PS5 might be. It was reactive rumors from fanboys insecure tht ps5 might be more powerful after all.

An 8TF machine can do 8k?Its even hard to believe that take into consideration the wired article plus TF of Xbox X.
I mean, a possible 8TF machine with 8K support, third gen ryzen 2, raytracing, VR2 and navi?
Just removing the jaguar is a big jump unless they're not counting the cpu for TF.

Ask for Xbox insiders. An 8TF machine can do 8k?

lol 9TF is as realistic as 15TF9TF is perfectly acceptable seeing as how this gen we had 1-6 TF
lol 9TF is as realistic as 15TF
New stuff can be updated in OP to make things easier. I think that's better than being lost between numerous threads commenting about the same things.Hardly. New news, new thread: that is the way gaf has always been.
I hate hate hate forums with megathreads because you cant browse new topics to see whats new; you have to monitor some giant 600 page thread that has a terrible signal to noise ratio.

12 max for both systems. Expecting more would be surprising.Nah, Cerny said 8TF was required for current gen to display 4K. 9TF is just impossible with what we already know about the system even with just mentioning the words Ray Tracing.
VR also requires a major hardware upgrade to introduce PSVR 2.0.
At this point 14TF is far more likely than 9TF.

14TF would mean a GPU more powerful than Radeon VII that consumes less than half the power.I wouldn't rule out 14TF as there has been a number of rumours pointing to it. That said, it is the absolute max and best we could expect. I think 12TF is the lowest we can expect.
Dont worry new threads will still be made, the point of the thread is to encompass next gen discussionHardly. New news, new thread: that is the way gaf has always been.

Uncharted 4 already does that. All I'm curious to know, regarding the number of teraflops in next-gen consoles, is how it will impact advanced physics, rendering and AI? Will we see more games where the player character and NPCs react realistically to their environment or pieces of clothing that wrinkle and deform as opposed to looking like it was grafted onto their skin?
I mean, most of the advancements in game graphics in the past decade look like a step sideways instead of forwards. Real-time dedicated ray-tracing is a step in the right direction at least. Cube mapping always looked unrealistic to me.

This thread for example became more about next gen talk than the OP itself
Thread is ready btw:
Next-Gen PS5 & Next Xbox Speculation/Analysis/Leaks Thread
