Yeah... I heard that it's basically same as Japanese version - still the same exact game, voice, and nothing tralslated into Korean but with a strategy guide and translation guide for cut-scenes. I'm not sure how extensive the guides will be - but for a game like this, I'm not sure it's a good way to localize it at all.

I used to LIVE in Kiryu, I know those kanji.
It's a special reading of the "nama" kanji found only in that name. look the kanji up in JDict, it's the last reading there. I guess you could go "Kiryuu," but I'm going by the official English romajization of the town name (which is identical to the character's name).

Every KEY scene is lipsynced. There are a couple of minor scenes with normal lipflap (doesn't look bad, but you can tell its not synced but it doesnt matter since its not a closeup) but all the major keyscenes with closeups and the camera focused on the face/mouth/etc for effect are 100% lipsynced perfectly.

I had the chance to play this game last weekend. Although I spent only a half hour with the title it had some solid mechanics (smashing people with objects and against them is awesome!) and was fun to play. Unfortunately due to the language barrier I didn't continue but I'm looking forward to Sega eventually seeing the light and releasing it in the US.

Man I just spent like 3-4 hours today in Adventure Review playing with Haruka to get her up to Rank SS. Some of her tasks were HARD, some were FUN, it was all EXPENSIVE, but I didn't feel bored or aggrivated. It was weird, she's such a great character due to my attachment with the story mode that I really just wanted to hang out with her and do all that shit. It was addictive! :lol
So does anyone know if there's a Rank SSS reward if you fill the entire bar? It doesn't look very possible at this point though, even if I complete the 3000 Token Pachinko request and the 20 Homesrun Major League one...

3000 token pachinko isn't that hard at all. It takes a couple hours with the item that Haruka gives to you (the one with 777). One time use, but as long as you have that one, it will be pretty easy to rack up 3000 tokens - it only takes time. But it does seem like you have to complete the 3000 task in one sitting - so be careful. I racked up around 29xx tokens, and didn't satisfy her... which is why I gave up with SSS rank.
Hitting 20 home-runs in major-league class batting cage is another challenge though - I know I will never be able to achieve something like that.
I have no idea what you get after getting SSS rank.Anyhow, I'm currently at 75 or so in sub-quest among known 78 of them... I gave up for the moment and waiting for a FAQ or so.

I'd also thought one solution to the problem is just going with 2 discs. One being the subtitled version and one being the dubbed version. Sure they'd lose some sales due to two people chipping in and buying one game and splitting the discs up, but I really doubt EVERYONE would be doing that and this way everyone gets their awesome subtitled Ryu Ga Gotoku if they want.

Well then it's for your own sake that I hope you do not! That's a fucking terrible idea! You do realize that if you just went with dub-only, you would be saving half your production cost and not losing a dime? The number of people in the US that would REALLY not buy a game because it was dub-only are so few that it really wouldn't make it worthwhile to turn a 1 DVD game into a 2 DVD game simply for that purpose.
Business sense am LOSE TOTAL! :lol

Earlier in the thread, someone mentioned Genji as having only subtitles and no dub.
Ok, playing through chapter 4. I've just saved the little girl & her dog outside the Bacchus bar. Now the red indicator is pointing close by the bar, as I guess the next destination point, but I can't re-enter the bar and nothing else appears to be happening.

It's the only store in the entire game that sells DOG FOOD, everywhere else only sells CAT FOOD. After that just return to where Haruka and the dog are.
