I thought it was fantastic... the only downside was the boss battles for me. Great game, great multimedia interaction. I wish M$ had the sense to keep making these types of experiences, because right now they have nothing.
These collectables, notes and laptops reduces the overall pace, but are entirely optional and give you more background; it's not necessary for understanding the story, though.
I haven't encountered any issues on PC. Doesn't have to mean anything for the Xbox version but I'd be surprised if there are still frequent issues.Did they end up fixing the graphical issues/glitches with the enhanced update for the X?
Yeah, for that collectables are quite important because not every character's motivation is clear and I do recommend to collect those pieces, for it simply expands on the game's story. To understand the plot, why things happen, it's not really mandatory.I'd say Beth's diary is the only must-read in the game. Even if the story is understandable without it, it really makes you understand the motivation of two of the three major characters.
I played the first chapter again a few days ago and it still had the same glitches. I wish they'd fix them because the game does look really good besides those bugs. This thread has convinced me that I should check it out sooner rather than later. A lot of the posts in here (both negative and positive) are highlighting gameplay and story mechanics in QB that I enjoy in other games. Did they end up fixing the graphical issues/glitches with the enhanced update for the X?
This exactly.Overall I was disappointed, I expected something better from Remedy.
I freakin loved it. Price is low now. If you like remedy it’s no ala wake or Max payne but i’d certainly recommend it.its a game that doesn't really get talked about, it seems like it was just released and then not really talked about after it
I am a big fan of Remedy, and i recently bought a Xbox One X and the game, what is everyone's thoughts on it
Great gunplay and definitely better played on the X.
If your going to listen to his review then you should prob read the reviews of his review...I had this game on my wishlist until i saw Angry Joe's review... might be worth checking that review out.
I would put it right back there on the wishlist.I had this game on my wishlist until i saw Angry Joe's review... might be worth checking that review out.
Over PC? Why?
i thought the game was underwhelming, saw some reviews, doesnt seem good
Disagree on the gameplay aspects entirely. The combat was ok, but could be cheesed to easily with essentially 1 power.Maybe you should play the game and then form your own opinion instead of bashing the game based on reviews. How could you even think it's underwhelming if you haven't played it?
I liked the game ans just don't understand the hate it got. Graphics were good, gameplay was innovative and fresh and TV episodes were novel for the time. It's not the greatest game of the generation but it's a great game nonetheless.
I remember how everyone was bashing it for having a low resolution but in reality if it weren't for a digital foundry analysis noone would've noticed as the games has excellent post processing. Remedy shows how misleading those so called technical analyses can be misleading.
