Having never played Brawl, it amuses me that Sonic's spin attack is basically just Wheel Kirby. :lol

Dreams Come True did the music for Sonic 1 and Sonic 2.
Michael Jackson (or, at least, his cronies) had some significant input in Sonic 3.
That begs the question...what popular, modern pop artist will be doing Sonic 4?

Plaguefox said:I still can't get over how awkward that trailer is. This specific point is just one of a ton of moments where I went "what are they doing?" I mean, I have no particular interest in Sonic beyond nostalgia and I don't want to say I have any experience making trailers but there's just so much wrong that I wonder if one of their still artists said "Hey I've got vegas and particle illusion, let me make it!" with no really trained sense of motion.
I mean, even the speed lines are going the wrong way.
Some of my favorite stages include Final Rush due to it's AWEOME amount of grinding, Palmtree Panic Act 1 because of it being such an awesome intro stage, Skyscraper Scamper Act 1 Night due to its awesome music and swinging/platforming level design, Carnival Night due it being an awesome casino-type level with great fluidity to boot, Neo Green Hill Zone Act 1 for it's classic sonic charm combined with an edgier feel, Sky Canyon Boss for having Knuckles being gullible for the 40th time, and finally, Angel Island in its entirety for giving us, hand down, the best "epic" intro stage in the entire series' history.Jtwo said:So I've been replaying the sonic series on my Droid lately.
What are your guy's favorite sonic stages ever?
I have to say Oil Ocean from Sonic 2.
Mostly because I remember the first day I got to it. I had always gotten to the end of mystic cave only to get raped by the boss until I found that one point where the icicles never fall on you. It also has awesome music! AND that shitty tiget led electronic game had oil ocean as it's background.

In my opinion, it's the best Sonic remix on the whole site. If you hate this, you have no soul.
EDIT: Come to think of it, all the "princess" songs in the Sonic series are pretty freaking awesome, minus Elise's main one of course. :lol

At least I can dream. Maybe I'll get that one day, along with a Tomba! 3

Hello everyone!
Today we have some good news to bring you guys in regard to Sonic's running animation in Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I! Specifically, we wanted to cover a topic that many of you have asked about after seeing the trailer.
Q: Is the running animation in the trailer what Sonic's fastest running animation will look like in Sonic the Hedgehog 4? It looks kind of slow, don't you think?
A: Actually, it is not his fastest speed! There is a faster animation for Sonic's running that was not shown in the trailer, and is more akin to what you might be familiar seeing from Sonic 3 & Knuckles or Sonic CD.
So there you have it! We'll get to show you guys firsthand what that running animation looks like in the future - but until then, rest assured that there's a lot more to the game than what you saw in the trailer: running animations included.
Have a great weekend,
Ruby

To be fair, Shadow is pretty much Sonic Adventure 2 Episode 2. Think about it.Wrath2X said:Just like how I refuse to classify Shadow The Hedgehog as Sonic Adventure 3, even though it pretty much is.

His work on Sweet Dreams 2k6 is reason enough for me to reject him.Anth0ny said:I was thinking maybe Akon. Not only did he work on the 2006 remix of Sweet Dreams, but he's worked with the guy who produced a bunch of Sonic 3 music on more than one occasion.
Can't really think of any other modern pop-starsthat could do the job any better.besides gaga

Ten-Song said:Well, when you compare the progression of quality from Sonic Adventure 1 to Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic 2K6 fits in perfectly as Sonic Adventure 3.
I meant in terms of "story" :lolSega1991 said:Shadow the Hedgehog isn't SA3
Different title character, weird branching storyline system, only one playable character...
Sonic 2006, on the other hand, intentionally throws all the game mechanics of SA1, SA2, and Sonic Heroes in to a blender set to "liquefy" and serves up a nice frosty glass of disappointment. Even if you don't want to believe it, it IS Sonic Adventure 3 and that is the game's entire problem. It inherited every single bad idea from those games and was further spoiled by a rushed development cycle.
SA2 was a pos sorry broDogenzaka said:Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me but I find Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle, specifically) to be a total and complete step of progress from Sonic Adventure 1. It did everything from variety of gameplay to story-telling in a Sonic game right, in my opinion.

SuperAngelo64 said:It also ditched the shitty 'world select' for stage-by-stage gameplay. Which is probably the best progression from SA1.
