Anybody that follow him knows him is far right lol he is even open about that.

You already made up your mind with the tone of your replay.
I just don't like people trying to defense somebody with false claims.
But hey you can do whatever you want.
Are you trolling or just mentally challenged?

Heard ResetEra is home for the retarded. Looking at your posts it seems like you'd fit right in there.

The tweet was the fuel they needed to burn Colin. He openly claims to lean towards the right. The majority of the gaming media are left. Even his slogan of ," Making Tuesday great again" Is a play on Trumps," Making America great again". It's not hard to imagine why he's black listed. I sometimes feel bad for him because I think he's very smart and passionate, but he knows what's up. It is what it is.

I'm confused.

- there is no mention of such a thing on his twitter or other websites
- OP doesn't give a timestamp or even episode number of when he supposedly said this
- why are we assuming it (whatever it is) has to do with sjw/politics and why are people arguing about it

This has gotta be one of the most sparsely informed discussions ever.

His tweet made no sense honestly. Specially his follow up. Unless he meant to use white bread privilege over white supremacist. Or did I miss something?

He made the tamest dad joke I've ever heard. So he got run off his own podcast, abandoned by his coworkers and "friends," and labeled a nazi. He also wore a Don't Tread on Me shirt once.

That's literally it.
That's hardly it. Everyone knew he was a pretty big libertarian for a while now.

Is being a Libertarian bad these days?

Or, to use modern vernacular, ‘problematic’?
Depends on your viewpoint. I'm a relatively new Libertarian (last five years or so), but they generally lean a bit right than not. Though, I think that point is skewed nowadays and I'd say a handful of us support things like Open Boarders, LGBTQ+, and things of that nature. But we also don't cater to the far left by extremist principals. We're also staunch defenders of the Constitution.

I think his comparison is racist...
It is really weird to be fair because he use a racism comparison to self defense against being racist lol
It’s not racism. It’s factual information derived from data about US demographics.

For Colin to be racist you need to do three things in this context:
1) Prove his claim to be wrong (data shows something else)
2) Prove he knows his claim to be wrong (intentionally misinterpreting the data)
3) Demonstrate a trend for (or against) a specific race in such matters that elevates (or denigrates) that race over others

You are at Step #1. Is Colin’s claim comparing success of Asian Americans and white Americans in the US a false claim? If so, prove it.

However, I personally wouldn’t mind it if you REEE’d elsewhere.

Like Andy Signore's 'friends' threw him under the bus because of false harassment accusations? That kinda friends?
It's kind of funny (get it) because they had this whole "best friends" mantra at Kinda Funny, and Colin and Greg almost had this homo-erotic over the top act going on at times... And then the friendship ends with a stupid joke. 🤣

It's just weird to stonewall a supposed close friend like that; I can't imagine doing such a thing over that, it made me look at Greg in a different way since then. (and to be fair Colin has only been supportive of Greg and KOF even after his departure, I don't listen much to Colin podcast but the other day he even suggested Stage of Play should have live hosts such as Greg Miller, rather than being just a voiced over video)

I think they had been growing apart for years. Greg clearly wants to be a sycophantic, seal clapping yes-man for whoever will pay him. Colin just wants to discuss things and release more personal, sensible content.

He is wrong and you can find a lot of studies about that.

How these so better American Asians suffering racism so much? I understand the his first claim where he says they are better educated because yes they work hard (more than Whites) to enter in colleges and universities so they do better in education... but everything else is false... American Asians receive less for the same job position than Whites, and most doesn't live in more affluent areas... the last one live longer I can't say because seems some made up claim... in fact by genetic the Asians trend to get older slower than whites, it is the same about blacks having body more resistant and white having better recovery organism (it is clear in football a black take more time to get injured but when it happens it takes months to back to play while whites get injured more times but the recover time is half of the blacks)... Asians at the same time shows less old faces... they shows less age than whites... you see an Asian with 50 years and you think he has less than 40 years... that is genetic.

And yes I believe any comparison of races trying to justify racism is racism by itself.

User banned (duration pending): arguing in bad faith, re-litigating sensitive topics, ignoring a mod post and finally, but perhaps most importantly, not being a transvestite.
Sorry what that has to do with my post? I was not saying the guy I replied was racist.

Who cares what his politics are when it comes to game critique....

It's not even that Sony won't work with him any longer (although that's bad in itself) but they haven't even had the courtesy to email him back to let him know.

Anyways he was the best thing about Kinda Funny and his new show Sacred Symbols is really good, so I dont think it will effect him in the long run. It's just a shame how the industry is to people depending on their political leaning.

That American Asians didn't seems to be doing better than Whites in America?
But key point I never tried to say there is no racism in America or in my country (Brasil).
Colin Moriarty's ideia are the same of our actual Bozo President... sad reality.

That is a Guilt by Association fallacy.

Your thesis is that pointing out differences in success between different ethnic groups is racist.

However, racism means to discriminate against a certain racial group, I.e. giving preferential treatment to one race and screwing over the other. Pointing out at a fact is not racism, by definition.

So this long-winded, pathetic attempt to make Colon look bad via false accusations says more about you as a person than him.

Dude you probably don't even know what policies Moriarty believes in, even when he has stated them on Twitter (Shocker they diverge significantly from what Trump has publicly espoused). Trump is also not a libertarian.

He posted about how nice could be to have a day without women on the women's day.
He was ridiculous and I'm a straight man... I showed it to my wife and she rolled her eyes... it was low, unnecessary, I don't even consider a joke.
This is an extremely tame and normal joke that people say almost daily, even women themselves.

Heck, even my wife says it!!

I think some people are extremely defensive these days, and take everything to heart, even the most obvious light hearted banter. That is not good for their health. You'll just end up fighting about anything and everything.

E ethomaz , i know your language isn't English, and parsing Twitter posts isnt easy. because twitter is shit.

what Collin was doing there was arguing against white supremacy being rational. By pointing out that Asian americans as a group, earn more on aveage, and are better educated on average than white Americans, white Americans are factually not superior. So, how can white Americans be superior when the data says they are inferior. Ergo, white supremacy is stupid.

But whatever, i guess if CM’s public image is one of white supremacy and hard core racism...well, jeezuz...

CM is center right you troglodyte. Saying he is far right means you haven't listened to any of his political videos, or have and are just a RetardERA troll. He doesn't like trump, and is certainly not far right.

Everyones racist the sooner we all accept it the better.

Who hasn’t taken the piss with friends before making them feel less superior or more superior?

That’s racism

First he is wrong... not all White are less educated, make less money, live in less affluent areas, and live lesser...
All your posts in this thread are a continous embarassment filled with the lowest level of discussion you can find, but I wanted to quote this because I found it really problematic.

Do you even know how statistics work?

I mean, do you even understand what are they?

Please, tell me you are not a fellow catalan.

PLEASE.

Colin’s a great guy who stood up for honesty and decency even if it meant being condemned by many prominent members of the industry who chose to take a stand for sycophancy and disingenuousness.

Thanks for making the best gaming podcast, and hope he keeps on doing his thing in spite of all this crap thrown his way.

As big of a fan of Sacred Symbols as I am I can't really be too upset about this since all it means is that Colin has to pay for his own games.

Good for him. What does that have to do with videogame journalism?

Oh, and people upset by a Gadsden flag who aren't Brits saddened by the loss of part of their empire are idiots. :) All the history involved with that flag and the only thing you can remember is that a couple crazy people in the Tea Party used it?

I don’t think the dude is racist. But it is the easiest label to apply to white people in 2019 outrage culture of social media to discredit and “cancel” them.

If you think about it, it’s a racist act within itself, that people look to target specifically white people with it.

Every other ethnicity/race gets a free ride on social media (even jobs at the NYT) for actual racist rhetoric.
