So I have this TV and I love it, but I had a huge bug today that I found the solution to, so I figured I would let you guys know in case it happens to you.
The HBO GO app is bugged at the moment (at least for me), and if you change the input from the app, it stops all sound coming from inputs. I tested it with my Pc, switch and PS4.
The way to fix it is that when your done with HBO GO, you click back on the remote until you get to the home screen and the app closes down, then change input.
Apparently the app doesnt close or something and it messes with the sound of the tv.
So the the 49inch is back down to $999. Hmm. Get it now or wait for a possible lower price on black Friday.
Yeah. And I'm kind of sick of waiting. I was thinking about heading to best buy today but it's been raining and I'm worried about getting the TV wet.I got mine at $1200 and it was worth it. The price might drop a bit lower but $999 ain't bad.
This is the price I bought it at...So the the 49inch is back down to $999. Hmm. Get it now or wait for a possible lower price on black Friday.
Got the 65" yesterday. It looks fantastic, but coming from Samsung's Tizen interface, I'm disappointed with Android TV. I tried the "background process limit" trick and it made some difference, but I'm still surprised how unresponsive it feels at times. I read it also helps to reduce or turn off the animations, so I'll try that tonight.
What are your preferences for the local dimming and X-tended dynamic range? I have both at medium in the Cinema Home settings. I tried changing one/both to High and noticed no difference...granted this was with only 5 minutes of testing, but I've seen calibration reviews that recommend different combinations like M/H.
Local dimming at medium and dynamic range off. Both on high for HDR content.
I tried the dynamic range off watching SDR, but I definitely prefer the pop that medium provides.

So has anyone here not been able to update to the newest firmware released on October 3rd? One of my TVs automatically did, but the other cant find it when I search for it and I was wondering if it's some kind of slow roll out or something.
PKG6.2669.0070NAA is the latest version.

The only thing I'm waiting on my 46XE9005 is HDR support for YT. Hopefully it will come.
Yep, was having the problem, thought I was the only one. Did you fix?
Was just about to post about this myself.
Now that Digital Foundry is doing HDR highlight vids this is something we really need.
Surprised it's taking so long.
How does non 4K content look on this compared to 1080p sets? Im debating picking this up but Im concerned that Switch games might look worse than they do on my 1080p set. Am I being crazy?
Wasn't it only for certain sizes?
Almost had a heart attack. Turned on the TV and the screen was blank while the sound worked. Tried switching inputs to TV from hdmi and turning on/off the TV to no avail. Finally decided to unplug the power to the TV, wait a minute and plugged it back in. Problem solved.

This same exact thing happened to me last night. Like you I had to unplug the power to get it to work properly.

What do people use for 4K content since Android TV apparently has issues? Do all the PS4 apps support 4k HDR? Looking at whats best for playing Netflix/Hulu/Amazon
EDIT. I think I need turn them on only if I'm watching a 24fps movie right?
Also tested 1080p/120hz which worked fine. And color format is YCbCr4:4:4 from Nvidia control panel.
How do you do that? My new HDMI cable just arrived, I was using to one that comes with the PS4
Do you have a tuto?
