I will never understand the desire to take classic games/series and turn them into a form that the primary audience will likely find unappealing and the target demographic already has a plentiful selection of. How does it make sense?
It's one of my greatest gaming regrets that I've never played 4HoL. Maybe one day...

Its economics. Gaming handhelds have higher sale prices and production values and a lower acceptance of IAP. Square regularly cops criticism for their mobile prices despite being cheaper tha their portables even for direct ports. From that perspective they are much more like console.
I'm not even sure how to respond to that other than :/
Oh you should check out. It's a really lovely game. It's a bit easy compared to other FFs, and a bit slow in the beginning but it all pays off in the end. You can get it for dirt cheap at gamestop & amazon now.

I totally would, except I'm a stubborn idiot who for whatever reason decided that I'd rather play it in Japanese for some of dat language practice. I'm not like that with most games, but I've always thought that way about 4HoL and I have no idea why. Though, I'll probably just end up relenting one day and pick it up cheap off of Amazon as you suggested.
That's ancient. I don't know why they uploaded it again, but it's not for the new game. It's entirely about the original game, and at the end of the trailer it even says "DEMO NOW AVAILABLE ON ESHOP, GAME RETAILS ON OCT 11 2012!"

Nice trailer. This is definitely my most hyped 3DS game for early 2014. At least because Nintendo haven't announced 2014 3DS games much.
I found it easy. To each own though.
I really believe Nintendo will announce DQ for a western release for 2014. I really do.
Then again, I also think FFX will help the Vita sell millions so I might be delusional at this point
