I'm concerned. I don't think the current dev philosophy at Eidos can pull of a Legacy of Kain I would enjoy. Prove me wrong, please!

Mama Robotnik hacking Square Enix servers as we speak.

Hopefully it is a full blown revival and not a cheap ripoff of whatever is popular now that just happens to have the name "Legacy of Kain" slapped on it.

what about Obsidian? Weren't they rumored to have or have been working on LOK?
Crystal Dynamics would probably be the most likely, followed by Eidos Montreal.

Cory Barlog is neither working on Tomb Raider nor their new IP, and they probably wouldn't put him on something tiny.

There's not really much of a legacy to mess up, gameplay wise. The original games were either poor Zelda knock offs or mediocre action games. One was a pretty alright isometric game, but they won't be making another one of those so whatever.

I'm a fan, but I can't see how they can introduce new players into this franchise without having to do a reboot.
They would probably go either for a full reboot, or a half reboot (whole new story arc with few references to the old games here and there to please the fans).

Ninja Theory have time.
That feel of storytelling.

Is Twilight still as popular?

What.

2013 is the greatest year ever for me. All of my favourite series are returning! ;_;

New Longest Journey
New Legacy of Kain
Presumably new Persona

I'm going to have a meltdown at this rate.

EDIT: I just realised that we get the first new decent Ninja Gaiden game since 2008. If a new DDS gets announced, I'm going to be convinced that I'm actually dreaming.

Yeah, this is my sticking point. Karl Stewart can deny it all he wants, but they didn't hire the director of God of War II so he could twiddle his thumbs.

Certain people here will probably have a coronary if they do so, but a reboot is the only way to make this work. The mythos was a total fucking mess when they originally ended it, thanks to the lead writer leaving early and tons of sequel creep to try to do something with what she left behind
