Well this is interesting.
I'm still holding out hope for more Star Fox amiibo... Slippy, Peppy, General Pepper, the Star Wolf guys, Arwing, and Landmaster amiibo please?
Well this is interesting.
Well this is interesting.
I've tried and tried, I just can't see any way that this is a good thing.
To me, it seems like Nintendo wanted to give Star Fox its The Force Awakens equivalent. Something that's heavily based on a previous installment as a way to get the series back on track after years of middling/mediocre/bad installments.
A SFZ thread that isn't yet full of doubt and dislike. Will wonders never cease.
YAAAAAAAAAS!
This thread barrel rolling for one single post. I can'T.
Stay pressed, I guess.
I'm getting super hype for StarFox now. It's been a while and I'm ready for more. Can't wait.
Are those medals Star Fox's version of NSMB Star Coins?
(Not my) Impressions from WonderCon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MflMuJhoeg0
In Star Fox 64 and Assault, medals were obtained by scoring a certain number of points and not letting a wingman die. To me, this screen either indicates there's way more consecutive stages per planet than we thought, or that there are now multiple layer of medals for a single stage.
It's not uncommon for Nintendo to send out review copies of games weeks before launch.I can't believe this is still more than three weeks away but review copies are out.
Which Amiibos does this use and what do they do?
It's not so different from what Nintendo always does imo. New Mario, Zelda, Mariokart always have a lot of elements from previous entries. To me, it seems like Nintendo wanted to give Star Fox its The Force Awakens equivalent. On the Nintendo site, only Fox is listed as compatible.
Fox gives you the old-school graphics and sounds, right?
Think its kinda funny they went from flying under the rock formations to turning into a chicken to press a button
Im guessing the logic was the hard path should be for those who know how to turn into a chicken? I dunno.. pretty uncreative
Is it just me or does it look much faster than before?
what the fuck is this?
Hmmmmm, interesting. I would welcome if medals were some sort of side objectives and you can play through the level without worrying about them if you want to, or decide to collect them and have the difficulty raised by it (kinda like the Star Coins, )
Now that I've actually watched the video, your hunch was corrects. The medals are NSMB Star Coin-style pickup, you can view the reviewer pick up one here
Well this is interesting.
Bit of a shame tbh. Would've much preferred set tasks to complete in the missions
HYPE for SLAY fox
about to finish Twilight QWEEN so my schedule looks clear for Slay Fox
get PERCHed
or taking an alternate path, that kind of thing.
The bit I linked to shows that actually: he gets the medal by opening the alternate path.
Still, I hope there are score-based rewards as well.

Wait, all the voices come out of the Gamepad?
But I play my Wii U with a headset connected to my TV and the gamepad audio muted (since I can't really hear it anyway) >_<

There may be an option to change it.Wait, all the voices come out of the Gamepad?

I love you.
Even though you forgot to add a pop gif at the end lol
Is that another feature "locked" behind an amiibo, or will it be available through play as well?
We don't know if this is amiibo exclusive or if the amiibo is just an insta-unlock while it is a post game reward or something without that.
