Its not the best looking face, but I'm personally excited we getting another SO this "soon", on top of them stating they are trying to recapture the greatness of SO2-3. Let em work fellas...after all we've yet to see far more important things...like gameplay. The girl's face could change in development

Well besides her face I think the biggest problem is in that location her character model should be half in shadow but doesn't look affected by the shadow at all.

Starting to think Star Ocean isn't a series for me anymore... These screens make me want to play even less. The character designs are either bland or horrible so far.

If this runs well with a clean IQ on PS4 and has decent animations I think it could look pretty good (ignoring the character design for now). Not expecting much more from anime-style games tbh. I hope I'll be able to endure the characters and story.

I think the issue I have is the faces appear to have no texture or detail. It makes them look like creepy dolls, IMO. Beyond that, I like the character designs.

The dialogue will definitely be terrible. There's no way around that.

Did you not like the battle system of SO4? I found it had the best battles in the series personally and the main reason why I kept playing. (certainly wasn't playing for the story or characters...)

Star Ocean is a series that slaps some scifi stuff on the typical medieval fantasy world stuff of many JRPGs.

Think the girls face is just her reaction to maybe having another Lymle in the game. The game is looking great, as long as the battle game play is the usual I'll be happy.
