Well, Ford at least acted in this movie. Great to see Han back.
he DID say you wouldn't recognise him!C3PO.
Hopefully it'll make a profit

I'd really like to know how much Hamill got.
I know Daisy/John are new but ÂŁ300k doesn't seem much for just how big this movie is. I think they deserve more. For the next two movies they definitely need more.

Fun fact: Mark Hamill is crazy rich.I can't think of anything notable Mark Hamill has done since Star Wars, voicing the Joker aside.
No disrespect to him, but he should have got himself a better agent.
What am I looking at here?
I cant decide whether or not Disney would try to cheat Boyega/Ridley like this. And if they did, whether the two would go public with it or stay quiet to protect their careers.
I would go public. Disney wouldn't risk a PR disaster of that scale.
Fun fact: Mark Hamill is crazy rich.
He's one of the best paid voice actors in the biz and lives in a huge house in Malibu. I really doubt he worries about his cut in the new Star Wars or his career.
If TFA grosses $3 billion, Ford only gets $15 million more. It's no Keanu money for Neo in Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions.
Damn JJ made $46,000,000 this weekend alone.... I need to become an actor.
Well, he might not be as rich as Ford (since voice acting doesn't pay nearly as much as 'normal' acting, despite being one of the highest paid voice actors), but he's been really smart with his money and has been getting a huge amount of work. The thing is, Mark Hamill doesn't really seem to want to be a well-known actor, which is why he specialized in voice acting roles, of which he has a shitload.Really? I know their accuracy is questionable but the net worth sites claim he's only worth six million.
daaaaaammmmmn hell jj is getting paid as well if the movie makes 2beez... poor carrie damn....http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...newcomers-daisy-ridley-and-john-a6780391.html
Harrison Ford: ÂŁ16.7 million +0.5% of the films gross + an additional ÂŁ1 million in compensation for his leg being broken on set
JJ Abrams: was paid ÂŁ3.3 million to direct + 2% of the film's gross
Carrie Fisher: ÂŁ1 million
John Boyega: ÂŁ300,000 + an unspecified cut of the box office
Daisy Ridley: ÂŁ300,000 + an unspecified cut of the box office
A thread on financials and people still don't know how to use spoiler tags effectively.
What an age we live in.

Yes, the rich guy did a pet project for free. Ford should have done the same if he really loved star wars.300k is still more than Jonah Hill's role in Wolf of Wall Street which was around 3 hour movie and he was almost half of it. Worked his socks off as well.
Perspective guys!

Didn't work so well for Jake Lloyd thoughWe don't know what the box office cut they get is though. By giving them most of their pay through box office cut Disney is off setting risk and the guys are still getting paid.
Anyway these are probably career making roles. Nobody had heard of these guys before, I bet they'd have done it fit minimum wage. I find it hard to feel sorry for them, they're in an amazing position now.
I just hope Ridley and Boyego weren't forced to sign for all three films on the same conditions....
For a movie debut 300k is very good, but they'll be stars now...

I would have guessed Abrams' base salary to be a bit higher.
