I just finished spending around 4 hours with Just Cause 2. I haven't had this much pure fun playing a game since the PS2-era GTAs. Runs like a dream on my ageing C2D system too (admittedly, I do have a GTX 570).

I'm tempted to download a trainer for the purpose of having unlimited money, which will allow me to run amok without tainting the overall experience but so far the money the game hands out has been enough.

Shogun 2 is a steal at 15. Paid 30 and i have 45 hours so far with a small xpac coming in sept with a new campaign.

Support Creative Assembly!

Doubt it but there's a chance it might be like Dirt 3 and let the cd be registrable on steam.

I imagine that only happened because of AMD's giveaway.

Anyone else having an issue with losing time on the games they have played? It has happened a couple times to me now over the past couple weeks. Most recently Deus Ex Human Revolution. I was just over 6 hours as of last night, but I look today and it says 2.8 hours. My time disappeared! Not the deal breaker but it is irritating.

Since the question didn't get answered really.
Why only Ahriman's gift? What's wrong with the other 2?

Ahriman's gift is the add-on for Kohan, it has more units, extra heroes, and extra campaigns. Its also the only one that is played multiplayer still of the 1st game. I'm not sure but Ahriman's gift might even have the 1st kohan's campaigns too.

Kohan 2 went 3d right when rts started going 3d. So its a mess. Plus its a much smaller game. In the 1st game you could settle and get like 20 cities on a good map. In kohan 2 you were lucky to get 5. There's a lot more strategies (aka fun) in Ahriman's gift.

Ahriman's gift is my favorite game of all time. The multiplayer when there were tons of games going and lots of people playing could not be matched. You'll notice a lot of mods liked it here:

I need 2 more people for a Borderlands 4pack (I'm paying for 2 copies). Also one of them needs to be from the US and host it :P

Anyone up for it?

I'm up for it, the other person needs to be from US though. I'm from EU :/

The "time played" counter on Steam is spectacularly broken and should be ignored.

If anyone is curious, Super Laser Racer is completely awful.

I wouldn't call it awful. It was actually kinda fun the short time I put into it.

But I'll say this, the $1.66 is about what it's worth.

G2Play is a unauthoized Steam key seller despite positive experiences some people seem to have. Even typing the word G2Play on the Steam forums comes up with "unauthorized seller"

Activision blocked alot of MW2 keys back when the game launched that came from G2Play. Also Valve is the only one that sells its own games online besides EA doing it at retail, if that isn't alarm bells then i don't know what is.

Yes to all your questions, i know people from another forum that have had keys removed (but no banned Steam accounts). Just google the name G2Play and read the horror stories. The are known to deal in grey market and keys bought with stolen credit cards. Is it worth the risk just save yourself afew bucks? Also beware G2Play has sister sites set up that look similar to G2Play because G2Play itself has negative word of mouth.

Sorry for the late reply, but this post is so full of shit I just can't let it slide.

G2play is an unauthorized reseller of Steam games, because Steam doesn't Authorize anybody to sell Steam games. They authorize Steamworks titles, yet have nothing to do with the selling of said titles.

G2play sells retail cdkey's ripped straight from the game box, you even get a scan of the inlay when you buy a game of them. They just buy shit up in Singapore for cheap and use the region-free set-up of Steam to their advantage.

As for selling Valve games, no shit dude. So does my local recordstore which probably could be where G2play gets their cdkeys. I've never heard about them using stollen CC's and that just seems borderline crazy, unless they use those CC's for retail games because every game you buy from them comes with a scan of the inlay with the CDkey.

The only keys from G2play which got pulled on large scale was MW2/BLOPS. And that was due to Activision cracking down after MW1 got pirated to hell on PC.

I wonder where this notion keeps coming from... the time played counter has actually been quite accurate in my experience. I once had a problem where I had 6 hrs played in a game drop to 2 hours for no reason, but that was it. Also, the timer may get inaccurate if you lose steam connection while playing a game (if steam goes down for maintenance or something). And, of course, the timer doesn't count if you play offline.

But, overall, it's been accurate 98% of the time. And for a non-critical feature, that's not bad.

Achron: http://store.steampowered.com/app/109700/

Key features:
The first game to ever feature multiplayer time travel
Players can freely move about the timeline to change strategies, preempt opponents' strategies, and don't need to perform the “clickfest” that RTS games tend to be
Players can send units back or forward in time and attack an opponent's factory and undo the opponent's creation of part of their army
The game engine handles all sorts of time travel situations from literature, including the grandfather paradox. Achron has even been used by philosophy professors from top-tier universities to experiment with their ideas about time travel.
Achron's time manipulation can change the way you think about the world, in a positive way.

Unique and well-balanced RTS gameplay mechanics
Novel units and three distinct factions with very different play styles
Balanced using state-of-the-art mathematical game theory techniques
