Why are some people making jokes about Dota2 releasing btw? Didnt Gabe say something along the lines of "not this year"?
He also said 3 weeks until the stress test ie beta at gamescom.

Maybe it was an elaborate experiment all along:

1/ For 3-4 months, give people a certain stimulus at the same time every single day.
2/ Stop doing it for no reason.
3/ Watch the withdrawal syndrome, the meltdowns, the riots and the collapse of society as we know it.

GG Valve.

Oh man you're right. I don't think I can live without Daily Deals anymore. My backlog must grow!

Burning tires already here.

lol at the price drop just after the sale ended. Which also means next time it will be 7.50 or less on sale.

Oh dear, I got this amazing game for 5 dollars more than I would months later. What a tragedy.

so things i've done to try and make the daily sale appear:

-restarted steam about 5 times
- created a dozen new accounts to see if they have the daily new deal
- bought all of valve games
-sent a cheque to Gabe
- is now on a plane to Valve HQ

This thread has turned hilarious if you read the comments along with the avatars. So fitting for the overreaction.
Joe owns every game. His avatar just reflects his burning wallet.

Maybe there's no daily because they don't want to take the attention away from the Portal 2 DLC they're probably about to throw the switch on...

But the Portal 2 DLC is supposed to be free, right? So where's the problem?

That would be awesome.

Do we know whether the DLC is single player or co op yet?

Thanks man. I don't now if it's common, but I did found a lot of people with the same problem (even some youtube videos). Everybody recommended re-installing Steam, but I found a thread in the official Steam forums that suggested deleting the appcache and config folders. Here it is:

Steam doesn't download games

So glad it worked :P

I'm glad it worked out for you as well, like I said. :) Thanks for the link, will favorite it and keep it in case someone else has a similar problem.

"The only wild west shooter of 2009"

>_>

Thats... wat?

Oh god I don't know why but the delivery of this post totally killed me. Thanks for the laugh <3

If you're thinking of buying BiB, understand that the FOV is narrow as fuck. One of the few games to make me physically ill playing. There never was a way found to fix the FOV, though with their new game Dead Island, you can, so it may be possible to fix it the same way.

THIS!

FOV feels like 45 or something.

I definitely like both original Call of Juarez games, so I will throw in my disagreeing opinion! :D (I don't think I bought the new one yet though)

I do not, however, know any method of fixing the FOV on the original. That's quite unfortunate since Bound in Blood multiplayer actually had dedicated servers if I recall correctly, and a DEVELOPER-LAUNCHED (right?) site for people to upload the maps, tutorials for using their map editors, custom singleplayer and multiplayer maps, etc.

The original Call of Juarez game was one of the first DX10-enhanced games I played, and the atmosphere really impressed me.

I think I even made a thread about custom Bound in Blood maps ages ago. The developer support and amount of features they provided were above and beyond what most games like that give PC gamers, I though. Too bad about the FOV, unless the new Dead Island fix works for it.

Too bad it's not the first Call of Juarez. I want to play through it before I play Bound in Blood.

Bound in Blood is actually a prequel, so you'd be alright playing it first. Might even be better playing them that way.
