Most Steamworks games don't get the info added to the store until release. I'll be surprised if Skyrim isn't Steamworks.

I would be hesitant to preorder Skyrim or Rage right now. They're both almost certainly Steamworks, and you'll be able to get them for less than $60 elsewhere before launch. You can even do that now, actually.

Yeah I don't have any interest in any of those shooters in the pack and I already have the Fallouts so basically I'd be paying $70 for the elder scrolls. Guess I'm waiting for the elder scrolls day.

I actually finally played the entirety of Doom 1 just the other year. It held up damn near flawlessly. The gunplay was perfect, the level design was top-tier, and it was an absolute blast to play through. I finished it in less than a week.

I'm not sure they all do.
Also if you weren't around to get some nostalgia for older shooters I can see how they might put you off.

If you can get past the old graphics, insanely long levels, and keycard hunts they are some great white-knuckle fun.

Problem with Bethesda/id sales for me is that I already own all this stuff on disc. I want it on steam so I can play it whenever with zero effort but...the prices are too damned high. Quake IV for $20? Seriously?

edit: Oh, and I hate Heretic. Always have. Hexen was pretty neat.
