I saw a comparison in some review of it to Ico. How is the companion AI in the game? How does it compare to Ico (if you have played that)?

I ask because I wanted to strangle that piece of shit by the end of Ico and will never play that awful escort mission of a game again.

Hard to say because I think I haven't experienced every gameplay mechanic yet and there's a character who could potentially become someone you have to protect. But after 1.5hrs it plays very differently to Ico, Monster isn't really a companion, you have to lure him to certain spots. Which could become annyoing but isn't yet. And I can't remember any complaining about the AI after the PS3 release, worst thing people said (apart from technical problems) was that the game is too easy.

I can barely stand shooters anymore, but I'd be down for using my bow on dudes and pretending that I'm windrunner. I did love the uncharted series until 3 decided it would throw a thousand waves of enemies at you all wearing super duper 10 headshots to kill armor.

Yes it is an enjoyable game for what it is. Just go into it expecting some limited cheap fun for a few hours and you'll get your moneys worth.

Papo & Yo is a lovely game and the PC port great. More options than certain high budget games offer. I hope they release the PS3 demo for PC so maybe more people play it, it's quite unique. The puzzles don't seem to be very difficult but story, visuals and music make up for it, everyone who likes jump'n'puzzles games should get it. At the very latest during an inevitable sale.

Finally a good time to play this, been meaning to just for the story.

Paper Mario is pretty poor, worse than Super Paper Mario even. Honestly, this series needs to die and all it's budget needs to be funneled back into Mario & Luigi because AlphaDream can deliver, Intsys cannot.

3DS is a wonderful companion piece for a PC gamer though, hits both a lot of good complimentary tastes and an alternate slice of the pie all at once. Easy pickup full of good taste titles as of this year, even if you're the type to avoid any and all mascot kit. Also, I gotta say, if your list includes fucking Pokemon but not SMT4 I hope you fall down an open manhole, because there's no hope for you so why not?!

Yes, it does have steam cloud support. It downloaded the last save for me automatically.

Huh, turns out I bought it around when Alan Wake released, which is strange because I recently wanted to play it again but was pissed it wasn't available to buy on Steam anymore. Well, lucky me I guess.

Good timing, as it was pulled around May, IIRC. I assume it hasn't been put back up under Bethesda's label as a deal would need to be struck with Acti seeing as Raven developed the game and such a situation is rarely resolved.

Edit: Ditto for Quake Wars. Actually, Splash Damage is independent. Surely Beth could put the game back up on Steam.

It was pretty hard in a few spots but teleport helps me out of a lot of tight situations. Also, the arcane + shield mines are amazing.

Worse than the best Mario game ever? (not counting the Galaxies, they trascend the greatness scale.) As one of my favorite series, I'd be very sad the day Paper Mario games stop being made.

What's SMT4? Bear in mind that I'm not a fan of JRPGs or strategy games.
