gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Thanks for the guide, I followed everything and it still wont work but now when I tried the launcher it just crashes.

Ah, strange. The guide did the trick for some other Steam users who were experiencing the same issue. Perhaps try following it again but with a fresh installation of the game.

(Sorry for the late reply.)

Best thing about TitS?
You can absolutely play the game with mouse alone.
Heck, I'd argue it's the best method to control the game.
Leaving your other hand free to fap anytime Anelace or Schera are on screen

So the third and final chapter of Trails in the Sky comes out in 5 days:

Now yes I know, anime is disgusting but this is one of the very few exceptions. It's definitely one of the best JRPGs to be released in recent times. To celebrate, I'm gonna raffle away the First Chapter for those that wanted a kickstart to the series but was afraid in some way of taking the plunge. Enjoy.

Man, I really can't get into these Trails games. I get bored way too early, and can't focus on it. I'll try and give it one more chance though, where I really sit down and only focus on this one game, trying to immerse myself in the story.

That's definitely the right approach. Hope it clicks with you.

Since i finished Dishonored 2 recently, i still had to finish Nier: Automata. I finally reached the end of route B, and while route C indeed feels better, i can't say that it was worth it, at least after first hours. This openworld stuff and
redoing all main story with minimal difference
is the most frustrating thing i've ever played. Even though i was completely ignoring sidequests and even some fights when it was possible while doing route B, i still feel burned out by embarrassing repetitive nature of this game. When all this shit started to happen in route C, i couldn't care less about it because it was happening AT THE SAME GODDAMN PART OF THE MAP. Seriously, this game could be SO much better without this damn openworld, or at least have some respect to players time and allow fast travel directly to NPCs who gave you sidequests.

I'm still going to finish Nier anyway. I'm tired, I'm sick of this map and probably would never replay this game in the future, but i must admit that
A2
is indeed best waifu and i still have some interest left to see real ending. I have almost unlimited patience, but i just hope that route C won't take another 10 hours,
just encountered that desert worm-transformer and need to go to resistance camp
.

How long are the Trails games generally speaking?

Edit: And just as I hit submit the synapses fire that remind me that howlongtobeat.com is a thing, which is saying about 50 hours.

Everyone should use Estelle quotes to speak on forums from now on.

I've made an album with Estelle quotes gathered from the internet and what was posted in here.
Some Olivier in there as well, though the image quality of his is pretty bad, but who cares.
How long are the Trails games generally speaking?

Trails FC took me 60 hours and SC 93 (though probably 10 of those were spent in the casino :p).
This is with 100% completion and talking to most NPCs.

The second is much longer. Length also depends in difficulty setting and how much you enjoy in taking sidequests and talking to the NPCs. Basically everytime a new event happens ALL the NPCs have new lines of dialogue. I generally went back and read them, at a least in town. Even that NPC in the damn lighthouse gets new dialogue but I'm not going all the way there just for that.

Cross-posting from the Nier PC Performance thread:

FAR has been updated to run (mostly) with the patch.

Kaldaien [has NieR:Automata™] 24 minutes ago
I re-released the thing with the stutter fix enabled. I have partial support for framerate unlock, but I don't have memory patterns to scan for all of those features yet. Camera controls were also yanked out.

Everything render-related still works and I think that's what most people use this for :)

Latest version is:

FAR (Fix Automata Resolution) - v 0.5.6 [Patch Fix] - 4/28/17

Edit: I just ran Nier, and FAR auto-updated to the latest version.

I think Silence will be one of the next Humble Monthly games.
Reviews are very positive, the game was 50% off the other day or 70% off bundled with Candle if you owned other Daedalic games, so I believe there's a good chance to see it bundled like it happened with the last Deponia game.

Duck Game looks fun. How do I convince my friends to jump in on Duck Game?

Duck Game was fun about the very little time I played it. The game has a free weekend so you can tell your friends to take advantage. If they happen to enjoy it, get the 4 pack and split it amongst each other for $5 a piece.

I thought people saying the patch's only change was disabling FAR were joking...

Yeah, initially people were actually joking... And then we all realised it had actually affected FAR.

Not intentional disabling, mind you - it's just because the exe has changed, the fixes based on it no longer work.

What is the consensus on Dawn of War III? Is as good as the previous games?

for me bigger dissapointment than what MN9, NMS or ACM was for most of people ... weird parody RTS's of old and moba elements ... but well its colorfull and flashy and somehow reviewers like it :-/

once again i forgot to cancel my humble monthly subscription

hope this one is good

These insane production values are why the final fantasy franchise has been in a nonstop disaster for a decade now.

I'm not sure if that's something to be glad about. I'd rather have them lower their ambitions for their next games, persona 5 shows how it's possible to do that and still deliver an amazing jrpg
persona doesn't reinvent itself with each title or does like a crazy beauitful photorealistic look. also persona took forever to release like literally being one generation late so idk if it's an example of a game being done right lol

there's room for all kinds of stuff, is my point, from big budget to smaller

I'm not sure that is budget related, FF7 had an insane budget for a game of that time and it's one of the best games ever.

I personally think that FF is where it is because SE doesn't have people with any vision of that franchise anymore (or even care) or don't let them do what they wish. One of those. I'm more inclined to think that no vision is the case considering all FF13 versus debacle.
100% agree

Funny because there is an anime adaptation that skipped straight to SC.
really? that's great

i might look into that

fuck, dark souls 3 was 90% off on indie gala store according to itad. price error but it was apparently fixed lightning quick. i was too late :(

The way Paradox does DLC frustrates me. I prefer to return to games years later and pick up some new content. Paradox ends up with expensive pieces of individual DLC that doesn't see huge discounts or bundles regardless of how long it has been since release.

I'm looking at Cities Skylines right now and a couple pieces of DLC on sale cost around $14, which would be equivalent to two or three complete games during a sales period.
