Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

Ahhh crap man.
I didnt even get to play.

Fuck...

More dissapointed than mad.
Kinda hope they could leave training mode on or something.

Good that they are facing now, what will come launch time, only x3. That's good for everybody.
Also, they could label it alpha or even "online stress test version" and some would cry about the downtime.

We will let you know the date on which the closed beta test will re-open...

This has me thinking it'll be at least a couple of days. Perhaps Tuesday, the best day of our lives. For Bison, however...

I mean like in reality Idc since its a beta and it's good that things like this comes up so they can iron it out early but cmon

It's V

V has come to

Pls

I'm laughing at how mad some people are about this online. It's a beta, it's good that they find problems and address them before release.

only problem it helps to actually get into the game to find these problems..... they found 1 issue so far and it will only apply to the beta, looks like its going to take 24 hours just to fix that one

Finally got kicked was fun while it lasted :)

Same here, seems like they're shutting down the servers now.
I got some time with Ryu and I still can't get used to the new timing of combo's, perhaps this is due to me playing on a pad instead of a stick.
I also had a lot of fun with Nash, his mix-up game and RTSD style is so refreshing!

Dude this isnt thick this is ridiculous lol lemme post some shit in a bit.

Im still in training room so its all good. Just wondering if I can change my character now or i might get kicked out.

I changed characters 2 times, so it's all good.
But don't blame me when you do get kicked xD

Haven't had a chance to try this since last night but is Cammy consistently showing up yet? She wasn't selectable for me last night.

Back from getting my car repaired and I see the beta is still down

aaaa you guys almost got me with your "we're in" comments

kappa kappa am i right

Got home excited to try, but I guess not today. Oh well, I understand the concept of a beta, hopefully a smooth launch, when release comes.

Considering how this went, they'll probably do a few more of these.

Birdie and Cammy were selectable if you got in right off the bat. After the servers went down the first time they were gone

I'm just glad I haven't been up waiting for this all this time. I'm excited but I'm willing to give Capcom the time they need to test and fix everything. :)

Would be really nice if training mode is accessible offline when it's updated. Infrastructure for that may not be there yet though.

I don't mind the rescheduling. One thing I've learned is that waiting for fixes or something to get done is part of it all. You have to be an adult about it or you can sit there bashing on the companies and people all day long for no reason.

Ditto. I went to bed early last night. No need to stress out over a beta test.

Since everything wants to be a "service" today, what if this game is going the way of Starcraft 2 with being allways online? Then we're going to go through the same motions in tournament play with lag/server problems, which in turn leads to local/isolated tournament servers. Or let's say I just want to do some training mode and can't since the servers are down and I'm not able to "log-in" or whatever.

Just got this email:

"We apologize for the ongoing issues that users have been experiencing with the SFV beta test. In order to allow us to fix the issues as quickly as possible, we are going to initiate a period of extended maintenance, during which time the beta will be unavailable to all users. We will let you know the date on which the closed beta test will re-open once all problems have been fixed. We sincerely apologize for having to bring this unfortunate news to you. Thank you for your patience. Please stay tuned for further updates."
