TERRIFYING

This is nicely directed and written. Hazuki is made an enjoyable protagonist by the presence of his inner monologue.

This is going to get sad, isn't it?

There was also some nice food art.

Accel World 17

This show is stupid. Even the fighting parts were boring to deal with.

At least I managed to take a step closer to completing my Pokedex.

The September issue of Akita Shoten's Champion RED Ichigo magazine is announcing on Saturday that an anime adaptation of Yoshiharu Makita's Rescue Me! romantic comedy manga is in the works. The story centers on Masayuki Mizutani, an ordinary high school boy. When his parents leave for an overseas vacation, his classmate Sayaka Shimizu moves into his home as a zealously intrusive maid, leading to uncomfortably erotic situations.
Well, alright then.

accel world - 17

Man, this is the episode I've been waiting for through all the fucking junk of the last few eps. ROBOACTION everywhere, shonen fucking haato, brofists, powerups, team attacks, the whole nine fucking yards.

I mean I guess that thing at the end happened but I ain't even mad. Shit is hilarious. It's Accel World, guys.

Emma: A Victorian Romance Season 2 - End

In general, this season was much more lively than the first, due to a larger cast of colorful characters, more varied settings, a greater number of plot threads, and more consistent animation. Separating William and Emma was a good choice. At the same time, the titular character got almost overshadowed by everything that was going on around her.

On reflection, it's extremely interesting how Emma Season 2 differs so greatly from Emma Season 1 in an umber of key areas. From my experience with sequels it's fairly unusual for a second season of an anime series to take such a different approach with it's source material. It's almost like the director went back to the original manga and devised a completely different way to adapt the same source. That's not something you often see, or at least, I feel that most sequels are literally 'more of the same'. The same story, the same directorial approach, the same editing etc.

The Light of El Cantare
I could handle it in Paradise or whatever it was called as I thought it was part of the setting but the casino? Fuck no. Everything looked off due to it.

Paradise was slightly more believable than the casino, but it also conjured horrible memories of grade school for me. I probably should have explained the Lisa Frank reference for those unaware, but basically:

Mardock Scramble:

Lisa Frank:

yearrrrrrghhhhh

Mawaru-Penguindrum 9:

Ahahahahahah...I got so trolled. After what happened at the end of the last episode, suddenly this whole episode is a flashback episode. Himari travels into the library of her memories and relives a large portion of her relevant backstory. She is helpfully accompanied by the bishie guy in the OP and together they explore her tragic past while #3 tags along. Lots of interesting motif in this episode but no continuation of the main story arc. Well, I guess I have to keep watching then.

I laughed at the Lisa Frank reference. That shit used to be everywhere. Maybe it still is :(

It will happen again. Probably several more times.

I'll watch this. #noshame

The problem is I already have several maid anime like this. It probably doesn't do anything new or interesting.

SHAFTed Palutena is a miracle of the universe.

I did my transfer over to my shiny new 3DS XL a few days back, and was astonished to see that I still have the first part of SHAFT-Ikarus registered in my Nintendo Video even though it was supposed to be cycled out back in, like, April or something.

I refuse to leave that application open long enough to remove it!

I tried to keep it as long as possible, but its probably gone forever. I still have my memories!

[Accel World] - 17

Ah, good Accel World shenanigans, by which I mean most of the episode was devoted to a single fight. As usual these fights are interesting to watch because they rely on characters exploiting their knowledge of well defined rules to plan and strategize their attacks, rather than just hitting each other over and over again.

As usually, all the real world stuff was terrible, but I've come to accept that.

Mawaru-Penguindrum 10:

Suddenly, all the faces are drawn differently. Did they change the sub-contracting studio or something? No matter. Despite the sudden burst of ultra-low-budgetness, including extensive use of still-framing and static panning, this episode actually continues on with the main story arc. The sequence on the rooftop with the many hanging sheets was interesting, to say the least. It was then followed by Kanba's walk of shame and the brothers reunited. Laser-sight slingshot woman lures Kanba into a trap by using Shouma as bait so she can...kiss him. Wonderful. Meanwhile Himari-Hat finds someone she is looking for.

That episode was famous on here for being a complete clusterfuck.

If you feel like Kuroyuki-hime is cute enough then go right ahead. But if not, then run straight the other way. Although, some of the fights scenes are good.

Indeed I do. antennae hair <3

The Light of El Cantare
I really regret being such a lazy fuck about registering for an account for so long because I was honestly captivated by AnimeGAF's Penguindrum discussions and really wanted to jump in. It's what got me reading the thread on a regular basis.
