Oh man..... -_-Since then the us dollar has strengthened against the Euro. Back when those consoles released, the US Dollar was worth .75 Euros. Today the US Dollar is worth .95 Euros.

Give me a break, yeah, "Big Nintendo" has infiltrated "us guys" and we're trying to "soften the damage"
It has been around this for two years now... It's not new.0.95? Holy shit, I didn't know that euro money bombed that hard.

Good luck with the price..
European prices are VAT-inclusive and USD prices are tax-exclusive. 350 Euro pre-tax is 291 euros, which is 306 USD. Alternatively, the Switch is 360 USD in the US at comparable sales tax (which is 341 Euro in Euros)
To be fair, even with VAT included, European prices were always 1 dollars = 1.
For every systems so far. 3DS was 250$/250. Wii U was 299~350 dollars/299~350. Same for Sony and Microsoft.
At different exchange rates.
Seriously. Stop whining about exchange rates that are fair. If 350 euros is more then you are willing to spend on a console fine, great! But that's not the same thing as getting screwed on the exchange rate because that is not happening no matter what nonsense logic you use.
Still no games on Amazon France, right?

It was stronger than that at the Wii Launch (1.1-1.15?), and IIRC, Wii was $249 / 249
I dont expect Game shortages
PS4 Pro was 2 months ago.
PS4 Pro was 2 months ago.

Has it been mentioned yet that the title is incorrect?
The euro has a higher value than the dollar. 350 euros actually 372 dollars.
And during the PS4 regular launch the exchange rate was different and you guys overpaid by like $60-$80.
Getting a fair exchange rate is not good enough, you gotta get it $50-$100 cheaper?
It's called psychological pricing.
Look it up.
350 euros for just the console is suicide.

PS4 launched at 399 dollars and 399. We always had a dollar/euro parity, regardless of the value of the two currencies. In 99% of the case.
306 USD - 350 EUR.
Does not compute.
Switch amazon.fr preorder up for 350 EUR ($306 USD) in France
Wouldn't you rather the exchange rate be on par at all times and not sometimes getting a good deal(like the Pro launch) and sometimes getting screwed(like the PS4 launch)?
Make sense with your complaining, that's all I ask!
Your conversion in threat title is wrong. 350 is ~$370 USD.
My complaining makes sense: Historically, it always has been 1 = 1 dollars, regardless of VAT or whatever.
We've always been screwed historically in Europe, but Nintendo takes it further away.
The thread title conversion was added by the mods. They subtract taxes and convert to dollars.
I can confirm its ~330€ in Spain.
Okay you're a lost cause. You just argued that Nintendo selling the Switch for a near exact exchange rate in Europe is Europe getting screwed worse then normal.

Nobody in Europe ever cares what is pre-tax price. And no product is advertised with pre-tax price.
Lol, this is going to sell like shit. Kids will keep buying 2DS bundle for 99.
And only 50 more than the Switch too when looking at the French prices.PS4 Pro was 2 months ago.
Irrelevant. EU never lists consumer prices without VAT and it was never an issue on GAF. Seems like you guys are trying to soften the damage by selectively applying VAT-less prices.
