Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for Wii Finally Confirmed !!!

No Ps3 version, no buy. I don't understand why this is going to be released in Wii only (if the exclusive is confirmed, I'll skip totally the game don't want dumbed down waggle fighters). I think they choosed the worst console for the game.

BTW, to the Wii users. Do you have a japanese Wii or are you going to pirate the game? Because it's only going to be released in Japan (they are studying how to solve the multiple licensing problems they have in every country to release it outside Japan). Or is the Wii region free like the PS3 and ables you to play imported games without pirating the console?

Do you actually understand what piracy means?

I am in Japan at the moment, so I'll be getting a Wii along with other games before the release of this game. And even if I didn't buy a Japanese Wii, I (or anyone else for that matter) could also get the game running on an American/European Wii with the Homebrew Channel and Gecko Free Region.

I'm sorry, I don't speak English very well. You know, to mod the console installing a chip to play pirated and imported games.

Yes, but I want to do it legally.

Yes something I want to avoid. To buy it from a pirate or to download from internet, instead of buying legally.

Cant you use the zelda save mod to allow you to install something to play games from other regions?

You don`t need a modchip to play import on wii...just install the hbc ...

Nice troll. Ever heard of the Hori arcade stick?

Pics look amazing. I assume this plays like the typical Capcom 2D fighter? For some reason the environments make me think of Power Stone, and if it played like that I'd join the hype instantly.

Disappointing. A great game that I'm probably never going to get a chance to play due to region locking and licensing issues.

Hopefully Capcom will use the engine for a MvsC3 or something.

Uh, how in the world is it not legally? I am still using my own money to import and buy the game, and playing the game without doing any sort of hardware modifications for the Wii.

Obviously his native language is not English as is evident by the many other glaring grammar mistakes. Don't be a dick.

If someone really wanted to import this couldn't they just use Freeloader to play their legal japanese copy? It's a bit soon to conclude what regions it's not going to be released anyway.

Aside from all the bitter tears, no one has yet to answer the most important question regarding this game.

Are any of the Samurai Pizza Cats likely to make the roster? :D

I'm not a troll. I know what I'm saying. The Wii port will support waggle controls, but also will support arcade stick, and won't look exactly like the arcade version. It (the arcade version) plays like Marvel vs Capcom 2 (2D fighter), even it uses 3D visuals. It's 2.5D, like Street Fighter IV.

If you install the homebrew channel you can apparently run legal copies from other regions on your wii.

So you've played the game already? Is there a marvel vs capcom 2 for wii? :O

I have a Japanese Wii. I will be playing it on that.

I am waiting for someone to say wii can only use the wiimote.

Second controller will suck for this game. Two rows of buttons for capcom fighter.

Edit:

I think the question is more about whether or not Capcom will be satisfied trying to sell this game to the small group of people willing to buy an adequate controller, or if they will go for the larger market of Playstation and Xbox owners that already have a regular gamepad.

That's a pretty loaded way of putting it; there is a huge demographic on the Wii and with multiple controller options available everybody has the ability to play it. It's not limited to just the people who are going to buy a specialist arcade stick and plonk it down in front of their machine and be done with it.

For a game like this (and to the less hardcore gamer) the Ps3 and 360 controllers offer absolutely no extra benefits over the Wii controller. For the ardent 2D fighter gamer, they will seek out more tailored alternatives (or refuse to buy the game out of protest), but they will not be the only people interested in buying this game and I can't imagine the market is going to be much bigger on the HD consoles, which so far haven't had any major retail 2D (or 2.5D) fighters released on them.

Obviusly I didn't played the TvC Wii version.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 wasn't (and I think it won't be) released in Wii. I was talking about the arcade, Dreamcast, PS2 and Xbox.

BTW, to all people talking about the Wii arcade sticks: obviusly this controllers are great, and I think I'm going to buy the Hori stick only to play this game (I have a Wii in the office even I almost never use it).
But if it's mandatory to buy a classic or arcade stick controller to play decently the game, it will hurt the sales.

That's why prefer a HD console (well, for the visuals and the on-line, too). I'll buy the oficial SFIV premium arcade stick, but it's not mandatory because anybody can play decently with the default pad.

If Street Fighter IV and this game have shitty sales, it will hurt the possibilities of hypotetic future Capcom fighters. I want to see this game in HD consoles because I think it would have better sales there.

A. If the game is anything approaching a success, it will be ported to everything. Capcom, people.

B. Even though the Wii hardware is somewhat inferior to the arcade hardware this runs on, I'm quite sure Capcom is capable of doing a competent port of an arcade fighting game to a weaker home system. Capcom, people.

C. Can't wait for it to get released on whatever console you sacrifice neighborhood cats to? Buy a Wii, then. At least you can resell the system after for the same or more than you paid for it.

D. People shocked that a game that will likely be Japan-only is coming to Wii first over 360/PS3? Check the sales figures for Japan. The other two systems sell about as well as Pepsi Cola does here.

E. 360/PS3 people get Street Fighter IV. Wah not, friends. Wah not.

F. OOUUUUUUUU YATTERMAN OOOOUUUUU YATTER-WAN

MvC2 was primarily a 4 button game (the other two were for swapping chars); I thought this was the same.

But if it's 2v2 I guess it would be more like MvC1

True. its nice to have the punches and kicks stacked but to each his own. I am waiting for someone to post and say those arcade stick pictures are fake. Laff

Better hope the stick and regular pad options are good 'cause the Wiimote and waggle is going to be poop for this game for any level but beginners and button mashing and that's coming from someone that's played the game in the arcade.

Why not Street Fighter IV and Tatsunoko vs Capcom in PS3, 360, Wii and PC?
Be patient?

It's Capcom. They ported Street Fighter II to the fucking Game Boy, for crying out loud. Though I wouldn't count on a PC port if TvC stays Japan-only. PC games that don't feature underage girls getting raped by monsters tend not to do well here.

Yes im sure dualshock 3 and the 360 one are good for 2d fighters....:lol
IF anything all three would need different controllers, like arcade stick type.

It didn't hurt Smash bros. But of course that's SMASH BROS so it was garuanteed sales. Thanks to that, though, plenty of people have controllers that play fighters decently one would think.

PS3 Version NAO Capcom!

The Wii version will be SO gimped too, not to mention the console's import-unfriendliness.

This! Everyone knows they won't be able to bring this to America, and they put it on the most import unfriendly console?

I'm sure it's foremost in their minds to take care of the 500-1000 people that would import the game either way.

It's not import unfriendly at all. Just get a freeloader.

Yeah it's not like they won't be able to enjoy SF4 day one on consoles.
Exactly. The sad thing is that people who own a Wii and Ps3/360 are still whining about this. At least I'm going to enjoy both SFIV and TvC :D

touche, but each are far more appropriate for fighters as is compared to the Wiimote. Also I have a Saturn pad for each :)
