Now i have another 2,50 to spend on something... which will probably be another key... and then never again!

No, it's absolutely terrible. It constantly crashes. Unstable as hell. Even moreso than the demo player itself.zombieshavebrains said:The source recorder is so much better than FRAPS. If you don't know how to use it or what you can do with it there are plenty of tutorials out there.

EDIT: Or are you not talking about the official tool, is this something about which I'm unaware.
Ideally you would record demos and then record the demos with fraps so you don't have a performance decrease while playing. It would be easier than trying to use the crappy avi recorder.zombieshavebrains said:I'm talking about the official tool that records demos in to tiny .dem files. I'll give you that the demo playback could be a little easier to use as well as the tool that converts them into .avi or uncompressed video. But i'd much rather mess with those tools than having FRAPS suck your performance into ginormous files.

it's fucking bullshit i see people getting items left and right
It's per week.EmCeeGramr said:10 hours and 1 item? The only way that'd be possible is if you hit the max amount of item drops for that day.

They don't, according to Robin.Kulock said:Someone asked this earlier, but I got a crate today, then like 20 minutes later I got a normal drop, so I don't think they interfere with your normal item drops.
There are a few that you can't buy.Mendelevium said:So all the hats/items are not for sale? On the store it as ALL previous and new items. Not all the hats show up for me.
Pretty soon probably. There was supposed to be a new game mode and a fifth polycount item set with this update but it wasn't ready in time.technosteve said:so when's the next update..........

Its 8 Max per day, and the amount per week is randomized between I think 8 and 16, or some other lowish arbitrary numbers.EmCeeGramr said:TF2 Wiki says 8 per day, for 56 per week.
Its ether Engineer or Demoman IMO, but I am leaning more with Demoman since the Engineer just got his update a few months ago. He should get a new wrench pretty soon though!Oh god, new engy stuff please.
So happy.
More like a limit per week.Anony said:so is there a definite number of drops per week?

I'm wanting the hinted at ROBOT or something else to work with while playing combat engy.Holepunch said:At some point Valve is going to add a new wrench. They already have the model in the game files but Valve has no idea what to give it as attributes. Only that they intend to.
But hey, it's a good sign.
Yeah but that does not work. If I play 2 hours a day I am not having the same chances as the guy who plays 12 hours a day. Casuals are always behind and thats why some of my friends stopped playing, they felt like they miss out for not playing as much.Wolf Akela said:More like a limit per week.
Valve made it so casual and regular players won't get too far behind people who idle 24/7. Now there's far less point to idling if you play the game regularly.
Actually you do. There is a daily limit, and a weekly limit, the guy who plays 12 hours a day is likely to hit his weekly limit on his second day, you most likely will hit it on the 3rd or 4th. I think you only need to play about 6 hours a week to get all your drops, so it works out well for the player who plays an hour or two every night or two, though it does sort of screw a person who can only play an hour once a week. (Then again, do you want to pander to the players who play 4/7 days or the guy who plays 1/7?)derFeef said:Yeah but that does not work.
