The Humble Indie Bundle 3 is now live! [Now Can Include Bundle 2]

do you get codes to redeem on steam for every game or how does it work?

1 steam code that redeems for all bundle #3 games at once. another one for the bundle #2 games if you qualified.

You get one Steam code for each bundle. Each Steam code adds all the games that are available on Steam, to your Steam account. New games that are added to the bundle are retroactively added to your Steam account (may require Steam restart).

Already have Braid and Machinarium but there are a few games there I've wanted to try out, so I bought it. Hopefully my netbook will run these.

This humble indie bundle is so great and they always add more games to it which is awesome.

Minecraft trial key for anyone out there. dd85a9e9b910442humblefbae3873af66935fa

where did you read this? didn't see it on twitter.

and do you guys think it will hit 2 million? things slowed way way down.

It's a pattern I noticed. I think they offered HB 1 when they reached 1 million and then they offered Atom Zombie Smasher when they hit 1.5 million so the algorithm says something must happen at 2 Million. The pattern is never wrong. Do not question the pattern. Accept the pattern.

Hopefully you're right and hopefully they'll add a game I dont' already have this time =p

How many of these will run on a netbook? I know vvvvvvv and Machinarium do...
Cogs got a "netbook version" for Windows: Cogs GO.
Osmos will probably work. Same for Braid and And Yet It Moves.

But I don't know exactly. Maybe you should post some technical features of your netbook ;)

I can't imagine Braid working on a Netbook.

Quick, someone donate $260000
They got $70000 in around 20 hours. With two full days left and the possibility that people will be more interested in buying during this period, I'd say it's possible they'll hit $2M.

I donated $10 extra, I really believe they'll make it to $2M!

At this point though they need $90,000 in each 24-hour period, with less and less people who haven't already gotten in. I could see coming up just short.

That's why he should post his specs. There are many "netbooks" out there ...

EDIT: Braid's system requirements:
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® XP / Vista / 7
Processor: 1.4GHz or faster
Memory: 768 MB or more
Hard Disk Space: 200 MB or more
Video Card: Pixel Shader 2.0
Should work ...

Only one more day to go...!

Does anyone know if Humble Indie Bundle #4 is a reality?

Sorry if there was confirmation about this and I didn't know, can't wait.

Its an msi u100 so yeah, I bought the bundle anyway and Braid works!!

We're so close to 2 million. Almost 2 days remaining. Only about $172,000 away from another Epic milestone. We need to Jerry Lewis Telethon it guys.

Just got a bundle! I've only heard of VVVVVV and Braid though. Which games are the best?
VVVVVV and Atom Zombie Smasher. Braid is good as well, but I didn't like it as much as the aforementioned two.

I'd like VVVVVV way more if the map was always available.

VVVVVVV makes me feel like an invalid. I swear the controls feel "slippery" compared to old school Mario and it's not just my imagination, it's not! But I don't think it's my keyboard either. ._.

It isn't the style of game I can enjoy with a keyboard. That combined with no constant map had it shelved after about 20 minutes.

got one code, PM if you want it.
sorry lurkers.....

edit: all gone....

It's not just you, VVVVVV's controls are indeed awful. Aside from the movement being slippery as hell, the input lag between the time you press flip button and the time you actually flip is extremely high compared to most other games. It's still a fun game, but it needed a lot more polish.

I've seen this mentioned before but I really don't get it. Maybe it's because I haven't played twitch fighting games with perfect controls, but I am seasoned in platformers and the controls in VVVVVV seem absolutely fine.

They are all good in their own way...

Machinarium specifically though always had a good amount of press as being one of the best recent adventure games that wasn't done by Tell Tale!

I personally have a soft spot for Crayon Physics, but that's just me. :P

27 hours to go and they need $95,000. Still think they'll make it.

It's only like an hour long...

Having quit less than 20 minutes in, why would I know that? The game has very simple things that could be fixed to make it enjoyable, but as is, not for me.

VVVVVV is not Mario. This is your first mistake. Thinking it is anything like Mario.

VVVVVV is a platforming game, and they are judged by how tight their controls are. VVVVVV fails in this regard.

It's not even in the same class as any Mario game or any Sonic game. All it has is left, right and reverse gravity. The controls are as tight as you can get. Sure, he might slide further when letting go of the directions, but it's not that hard to get used to the extra slide.

Agreed. Heck, this argument was used with New Super Mario Bros. Wii as well; some people thought the controls were too slippery. I thought they were just fine, and right for the context of the game. VVVVVV is the same way; I don't see a reason to want things to be tighter or looser.

VVVVVV is a bit slippery yeah, Mario Wii was too I felt so I might be one of those insane people =P

But it's nothing you cant overcome. I got a good feel for the slippage just doing the tower and I don't often fuck up due to the game's slippery silliness. The game's great awesome music too =)

Yeah I could deal with it if that was my only gripe, but that combined with not having a map so I might be aware where I have and haven't been on-the-fly just seemed like a silly oversight.

I'll agree NSMB was a little more slippery than the other games in the series, but it's still fine. Every Mario game has had different physics. The original Mario Bros to the first SMB. Then SMB2 USA and SMB3 and World and so on and so on. NSMB had pretty tight controls. And the best controls of all the Mario games.

VVVVVV isn't a platformer in the same regard. There's no actual jumping and platforming. The only problem is the amount of slide when you stop. But it was nothing to keep me from enjoying and finishing the game at all.

An on-the-fly map would be useful, but I would say it isn't really needed for most of the game. The overworld only serves to connect individual linear levels, and those linear levels are the great majority of the game. You probably won't spend more than a 5-10 minutes total in the overworld during the entire game.

Well, maybe I'll give it another shot then. I assumed from what it presented me with I was looking at Metroidvania style exploration.

Thank you whoever mod that updated the title!

Awesome thing that they included a couple of games AND the HB2! I already had it, but the people which didn't bought it should be happy to get another 5 games out of nowhere.

I really hope they reach 2 million bucks. It's been a pretty great bundle and all the extras they been giving out deserve to get more money!

1.929.000 $

We are getting closer! Seems like everyone is speeding up to get that to 2 million :D
While I wrote this it was raised another 1000$ to 1.930.000.

Edit:

1.935.000 $
