In the past I only ever had a relationship with one white woman, a substitute teacher at my school, all the other white (well I guess you would call them girls rather than women) girls I knew were vapid and vulgar. So I dated every ethnic group but white women pretty much.
Looking back I think it was kind of problematic, as the women I dated weren't always any better. When I went to Uni I realised all white women weren't like those in my high school, but by then I was in a long term monogamous relationship with a Portuguese/Filipino woman, and then her best friend, who was Chinese Indonesian. Then I became Muslim and stopped dating til I met my wife, who trumps all of them in the looks/smarts/awesome stakes. She is from Bangladesh.
I think people make false attributions when it comes to ethnicity. I am not convinced of the whole 'types' thing. I don't think people have types. I think they do sometimes have fetishes though.
This was a real worry for my wife, who wondered if I liked her for who she was, or if I liked her because I had some weird fetish about women from the subcontinent/Middle East/South East Asia. She sent me links to these videos dropping hints lol.

I don't think it is that. At least that's what I tell myself. I think circumstances led me to not date white girls, because those I knew came from a certain part of white culture that I found annoying (racist, ignorant) and the non-white women I knew were a little less so. Then again who knows, maybe it is a fetish thing, converted to get an in on the Muslim women angle?
