I really wish it was a universal app :/ Going by Secret of Mana no iPad optimized version will appear either though.

Battleheart is so much fun though. Picked it up in the sale, hardly put it down since.
 
Is there a way to take a screenshot on the ipad?
I want to take screens of Tiny Wings' (Openfeint's) neogaf leaderboard.
And maybe start gifting a game once in a while for high scores at chosen games, little competitions just for fun.

(btw, damn Xater swapped places with me again, although there are still plenty behind me, but now I'm 6th with 128k
Xater is 5th at 150k
Jedeye Sniv is 4th at 153k
Choclito is 3rd at 174k
Kweekan (ksan) is 2nd at 193k
.. And of course Wario 64 is first with a whopping 220k!)

Just finished Battlehearts and its such an amazing title. The ending:

was a bit lame but the game is so fun. That plus the fact that there' 8 other classes I didn't try means I'll be returning to this. Great game.

You really need Eliss.

Zenonia two is a huge improvement over Z1, you could always skip the first. I think Z1 is more "it was great at the time" while Z2 is actually really enjoyable And do yourself a favor and don't rush through all these games. Take your time to enjoy them, they're not going anywhere.

I don't like OF's clunkiness myself, problem is that there's still a huge number of games which stay OF only.
I expect a huge GC update coming to to give it all the basic features that OF has.

Nice, I got stuck with a crash in Hunters.

After I failed a mission, in the report screen, when I press Finish to go back to the campaign menu, it crashes.

Even closing the background application and starting again, when I continue the campaign, I'm again in the report screen and it crash when I press Finish. The only solution should be restart again the campaing, that is something that I don't want to do. Great.

HOW??! I'm at a ceiling at the moment with my skills. Can't get past 150k and can't to Island 8 for the life of me. I understand what I need to do (stay in Fever, don't fuck up) but just can't find my way to actually doing so. So hard!

Hmm, one of the most important tricks (which you might already use) is to do Short touch -> Long touch to continue fever/getting a great slide when it isn't possible with simply a Long touch, especially at higher speeds.
Not a great explanation, so I don't know if it helps :/
Also, getting further than island 8 isnt really necessary for high scores.

BTW does a simple edit/upload app exist? Something I can flip rotate a picture with and then send to imgur easily or something? Tried two so far (Picup and Nao); search continues.

Grabbed Battleheart as it's 59p and everyone has been raving about it in this thread.

First off it's absolutely beautiful, the graphics and animations are lovely. I love the very minimal UI during battles.

The gameplay itself is great fun, intense but simple, been nice figuring it out through the first few battles and the first boss fight which was a great little challenge.

Just had it crash during the level after the first boss, bit annoying as I'm pretty sure I'd almost finished.

Definitely worth 59p though, if only to look at the awesome visuals, so slick.

yeah, its amazing. I've already wrapped up and I can't stop grinding because its so fun. Up to level 37/8 right now and doing the arena challenges. Got a "special" weapon for my monk which you can't upgrade to because you hit a limit on your upgrades and now I'm addicted.
 
FUUUUUU, just got top 15 score on OF and I was just in the upwards slope towards flying to the 9th island, if the night would have come 1 second later the score could have been quite a bit better :/

So after getting a ios device a couple weeks ago I've been lurking this thread for games. Now I have spent way more than I probably should have or expected to. So thanks guys for that. Battleheart is pretty awesome, why do the igames not get OT's for the most part? Something like that or, from what I understand, Dead Space could get more people interested in phone gaming.

Like someone else brilliantly said earlier, iOS games are like bubblegum. Aside from scores and the like, there isn't a terrible amount to discuss, and as evident in this thread peoples attentions quickly move to some new gem on the market.
 
this is probably a really annoying request but can anyone recommend some good free games for the iphone. i have like Ninjump and Megajump which seem pretty rad but i don't know what else is worth checking out. thanks
 
I cannot for the life of me do the 'get to island 4 without using [up arrow]'

is there some trick/advice you guys can recommend to do it? i can do the 34s in fever mode no problem.

It's not that I was trying to be unhelpful, but if you look several pages back you will see what is currently being talked about and recommended, with people posting lists of 'essentials' and the like.

This thread already contains exactly what you are after, and you don't have to read every page like a book to figure that out.

oh right, nah sorry it's just i'm new to this thread and i didn't see many people talking about free games on the pages i was browsing but i guess i'll just skim over the last few pages.
 
Guys, could we possibly stop being dicks to people asking for recommendations? Congrats, you spend more time on GAF then them and/or got your iOS device years ago. Some people are new to both, and we don't need to act like stereotypical elitist geeks every time somebody asks a common question.

Besides, the last couple pages were dominated by TinyWings copycat debates with a small sprinkling of actual game talk. It's a fair question to ask at this point.
 
Yeah, you guys are being way too harsh about it. If you don't want to recommend him anything, don't post anything, but don't bash on him.
