Buying 360 version first, Will wait for STEAM version to drop around $20. Buying both is where its at. Since the good mods will take a few months to pop up and for any good chunk of DLC, I would think its safe to buy a console version first.

Neither will the 360 version.

It's just that all 360 players will only be playing with other 360 players. They're all gimped together, instead of alone, against the superior default PC control setup.

I really want to get this on PC for all the reasons stated above - Free content, great modding scene, userbase will be there for years etc - but I don't know anyone outside of GAF who'll be getting this on PC. All my friends, online and off, will be getting the 360 version. I may end up buying it twice at this rate cos I'm never gonna be able choose between the two :s

If it's a case of all of your friends getting the 360 version, it's an easy decision, since it's a co-op game.

But if you have a capable PC and don't know anyone who'll be playing L4D on 360, I really don't understand why you'd go with the console version of a Valve shooter as some apparently are. To sit on a couch? Really? At the expense of all the advantages the PC version will offer? To each his own, I guess.

That is as long as you have a PC to play it as well if not better than the 360 version, you have friends to play it with on PC, you have the means to play it on your TV and your PC is not tied up for other functions

I find Gabe's voice so dreamy... but in all honesty I really like their presentations, it's really cool to have them talk about what they did then show it, I replayed Lost Coast a ton of times just to show the technical details off.
My PC would probably run L4D but since my friends are on the 360 the choice is very easy.

It's $40 on Amazon with a guarantee on any price drops. I preordered, but will most likely cancel if there is any beta in Oct.

Don't forget that newer video cards have HDMI and TF2 supported X360 gamepad.
