The Trials HD Official Thread

The demo was cool. I know it's just cosmetic, but I wish the game took place in a stadium full of spectators instead of a boring lonley warehouse environment.

As an aside: I love the cheers/cowbells in Ski Jumping.
 
Whoa I've been looking forward to Trails HD since E3! I kept coming back to their kiosk to play over and over. Definitely downloading this, want to try out the track editor.
 
It's a bit of a bitch to change your bike. Once on a track you have back out and restart unless I'm missing something. Minor complaint. Go easy on me Gaf.
 
Anyone made any cool levels. My mate bought the game and we're itching to try some out. His gamertag is NinjaBoiX if you want to add him.
 
I tried the demo yesterday and I'll probably buy it in a few days. It reminds me of Elasto Mania, which I played a lot in high school. I should probably finish Splosion Man first before getting any new games otherwise I probably wont beat it. .
 
Holy Shit I posted my GameTag yesterday and went to bed so I didn't get a chance to check my messages on live.

I've never gotten more than two or three before when I generally post it in a game thread.

We should have made a GameTag thread for this game.
 
This game is fuck awesome. Can't wait until I get the chance to play it again tonight.

And is there a way to play levels created by friends of friends? I.e. can someone re-share a shared level?
 
still need to beat Goin' Up and Inferno II

i can get about 4 checkpoints from the end of GU, and i can't even get past the 1st checkpoint of Inferno II

also finally got the bowling achievement :lol

I spent an hour doing ski jump last night and got to 330 on the leaderboard....I don't even wanna know how far down I am now.....

Yeah, I just noticed. :( Talk about a missed opportunity. The six degrees of separation theory would ensure that the good levels would be spread to everybody.

Please not the LBP interface. Most god awful community sharing interface ever.

A YouTube style interface would work much better.

Well, yeah. I just want an honest to god level sharing solution, not this friend-only thing.

On one hand, I'm amazed at the in-game editor since it's obviously very powerful and awesome. On the other hand, there's no point since it's such a hassle to get new levels out to other players.
 
Yeah but I dont think RedLynx has the money to host servers levels for 35k + players...

My second level is almost done track wise, but I still need to add more stuff to it :). It's pretty amazing this one though, and I think a bit harder than my last one :p.

Listen to the people, Microsoft/Red Lynx. Half a million dollars in one day ... this can be so big...
 
so are people on here happy to get bronze and move on are you lot only going for golds. I am trying to get all the golds on medium difficulty but a few giving me problems.

The way people talk about hard difficulty I think I should maybe get Bronze and move on.

Ive been going for golds but im only on the medium tracks and ya it can be a pain lol.

I kinda wish Trials hd had the 5 or 6 camera angle options from Trials 2 on PC, made watching replays more interesting.

dammit. 2nd time going through the 2nd extreme level, got further than the first time but still ran out the clock. i had a feeling i was right next to the finish line too.
 
Yeah, the second extreme level is pure insanity. I can't get past the ramp with the box in the middle. Ran out of time. So frustrating.

Wait, you get an achievement if you knock down all the pins? I fooled around in that level for half an hour but couldn't do it, so i just finished the level and moved on and felt kinda stupid for trying so hard :). Guess I'll replay that stage...

edit just to be sure, you're talking about that stage with the jump, where theres a bunch of pins one level lower? Not just some minigame?

I never played the trials games, but I played a bunch of flash games like this and always wondered why nobody had made one on XBLA/PSN.

Finally got around to playing this today, and am not disappointed. Have only made it through Beginner and Easy so far, but I'm loving it. I'm cursing the silver medals on my record right now, but I have a feeling that pretty soon I'll be celebrating silvers.
 
bought this last night and had a blast until I got to the Hard tracks. To me it felt kind of like line rider, where you can control the rider.
 
sometimes i just think to myself how easy it would be if the guy got off his damn bike and walked a little. haha.

or wanting to change his tires to something not made of flubber.
 
Totally off my radar until the the demo and this thread - now I'm hooked! Need to go to sleep though :(

yes, the last stage on medium
 
I had fun with it until the hard tracks. The climbing up steep inclines mechanic seems to be everywhere now, and I do not find it fun at all. I was really having a blast with it, but I cannot see myself pushing through the rest of it.
