As I said that was posted before ANY news broke about a potential delay, so he at least new about that.
 
I tried to pay my PS4 bundle in full, but due to error in inet banking, the order must have been canceled. Which is good.

I am waiting for confirmation.

microsoft on the other hand, just announced that xboxlive gold payers now get dedicated servers on xbone for all online games for their money.

I think they need to find something to offer with PS+ that will at least make the balance seem even (even though its really not)

If #DRIVECLUB ends up being not delayed...this will end up being great for the game....this is the most attention it's gotten since it's announcement. It's also worth noting that at first this game was expected to come early 2014 then it was changed to launched.

Would be great if Sony do this - they do need some kind of PS Plus bonus to get people subscribing from the off.

Sony may even give the full Driveclub Free for launch period customers.

Also when people are told they're not getting something it usually makes them want it more, could be clever marketing? who knows.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about PS Plus culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is on Xbox Live Gold where you can become successful by giving away nothing. If you screw someone over on PS Plus, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the PS Plus members, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase games for the PS4 system, nor will they purchase any more Plus subscription time. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Sony has alienated an entire market with this move.

Sony, publicly apologize and give Killzone away for free or you can kiss your business goodbye.

With still no official word it's probably true. otherwise you would just come out and flat out deny it. This smells more like they are coming up with a good way to present this information.
 
Yeah, I'm selling my PS4 at launch.
I wanted to play KZ:SF but I can live without it. I'll buy the PS4 next year when I:SS comes out.
Hopefully I can get a good price for it.

I think it's less a matter of the genre or importance and more of just the lack of exclusive launch games for the PS4 when compared to the Xbox One. If Drive Club falls through, that's a third of their exclusives. A big deal for some people who seem to be buying these consoles for the launch games (not me).

Smart move would be to send the presser out at the very end of the week, hope it doesn't get much coverage over the weekend.
 
Seems a given to me that the reason this hasn't been acknowledged yet is because Sony is trying to get some good news to go along with it in the way of a PS+ replacement. It's the only way they can turn this dilemma around. Give us something unexpectedly awesome instead, and tell us that driveclub will be better for the wait. But yeah, the reason it's taking so long is because.. what do they give us? :x It's going to be Knack isn't it.
 
Imagine seriously cancelling your pre-order of a powerful, relatively affordable next-gen console because you weren't getting a demo.
 
The pre order cancel bull shit is lame. either post prof that you had the system pre ordered and canceled it or stfu. Half the people who say pre ordered canceled probably didn't have the ps4 or xbone pre ordered in the first place.

I have 3 games on pre-order and Forza5 comes with the console. The rest I will rent or get in the following month or so. I play a LOT of games. They will last me a few months. Nowhere near the 2 years you suggest. Online will be the only reason I will still be playing longer than that.

I wasn't getting a PS4 for DC, I pre-ordered before the launch titles were announced.
 
How long can Sony hide this if true? It will just screw people who have DC preordered especially as bundles (I know there ain't official ones) the longer they keep it to themselves.

That is understandable. I tend not to buy launch systems for games, since the line ups usually suck initially, but to each their own.
 
I'm glad I never thought about getting a PS4 day one, Xbone is looking way more interesting at launch, no contest really, it's sad all the shit they tried to pull out.

I'd like to try DriveClub tbh, looked alright, maybe when I pick the PS4 for Destiny it will already be out and I'll still be able to try it with PS+.

Everything was fine until you posted that topic.

They'd shown a few tracks, put it as part of PS+, setup up pre-order DLC, and were just about to show us a video of multiple cars on track.

Then you come along and ruin it!!
 
If I learned something from this thread is how Driveclub became suddenly this unimportant game which nobody wanted anyhow at launch. There are indie games way better than this and I don't know why they even bother with it. /s

You clearly do not read any posts before replying or commenting on them. I clearly stated multiple times in this thread that I haven't cancelled because of DC. It is because of finances and because due to there being a drought of games I want to play on PS4 I feel I can now wait until next year and not really miss out on anything.

Does this affect your life enough to inject bitterness and vitriol into your ill-researched replies?

Well, that or it's the sole reason for the PS4 existing and sales if the console will now be non-existent.

There's no room for reasonable or considered here people, this is what we do. Hyperbole or GTFO.
