I hope this is not true, was really looking forward to have some diversity at ps4s launch. If it comes out sometimes next year i'm not even going to bother i guess :/
My friend got an updated release listtoday, Driveclub 2014.Gamestop
Don't think it's placeholder.

It's the lack of focus on the Sony new hardware. The first party drought on vita all the mega releases on PS3 this year which is not bad but it came at the cost of the PS4 launch. And I don't care about bigger user base. First party games are there to drive hardware sales the PS3 is going to sell nothing will drive that harder than a price cut (not his fault they haven't).
I hear him say the teams have freedom and they do what they want. That's good to a certain extent but at the cost of there hardware launches???
3 months of PS+ with console would be a better alternative. I'll gladly take that.Honestly, I'm guessing nothing will take its place on Plus.

Well if the date has a SD next to it that is the new street date. Otherwise its basically just a placeholder date.

Good lord, what's going on in here.
Okay, this is a wild hunch....
Say Driveclub is indeed delayed into 2014. With the recent announcement of inFamous: SS Limited/CE this morning.....what if......WHAT IF...they announced inFamous: SS as a launch title.
I don't know, would be cool though!
So a delay isn't going to cause some to wait to get a PS4 -- possibly even doing so after the games are released?
I'm not trying to say that this will be the "worst thing ever" but I just don't see how some can dismiss it like it's not important. The game was pretty much the face of the racing genre on the PS4 at launch-- almost as much as Forza 5 is for the Xbox One.
Shhuei Yoshida needs to be held responsible. His management of the 1st party has been poor considering they are launching new hardware. Unless this a strategy to not compete with there partners at launch and let them shine.

Yes yes it wasGuess my sarcasm was too realistic.
I guess. Really though a delay to ensure quality over releasing a halfbaked product is never a bad thing. A Q1 release will also fill the post launch gap as well... so people wanting a ton of titles at launch would still probably complain if that release period lacked any big first party titles. Surely a sprinkling of releases over time is better than blowing one's load at once like what happened with Vita.Bad PS3 news finally happened. All that pent up angst between E3 and now released all at once.
Unless you really want to fuck with people.Lotsoftollinginhere
Game genre diversity is one thing that didn't change here.
I do raise an eyebrow at the 'game delayed, so i'll buy another system' posts, both here and on other sites.
Who buys a console just for launch games? You buy a console for the announced/shown games, with a long term mind share.
If you were really set on a ps4, or an xbox, one title shifting isn't going to make you jump ship. If anything, you just delay your purchase a few months till the title releases.

The PS3 is profitable for Sony right now. Sony needs to sell games on the PS3, because the PS3 is making them money. It's not at all uncommon for a a platform holder to continue to support their previous console for multiple years after the launch of new hardware. With marquee titles
God of War 2 came out on PS2 5 months after the PS3 launched.

I hope you realise most of the PS3 titles out this year started development long before PS4 kits were even a thing.Support it yeah that's fine. I'm not saying don't support it but look at the quality of output for the PS3 and the PS4. My point is that it seems like the PS3 was prioritize when it didn't need to be it has it's own momentum it's good. They are launching a new platform. Let third parties carry the PS3 instead of counting on them to carry the PS4.
God of War 2 on the PS2 was a mistake also they don't want another PS3 launch scenario.
No offense but you are fucking nuts.![]()
I've been attacked a 1000 times about this. But a serious question, 2 first party launch games for the PS4 a severe 1st party drought on the vita.
If Shu isn't responsible who is? I know he's a cool guy and all. but why do these issues exist when Sony has the biggest and best 1st party in the industry?

Look what you did! Lolstill no confirmation? WAT? And people attacking Shu?![]()

I love the idea of a more polished DriveClub.
Evolution Studios is excellent, so more time to make a better game is definitely a positive in the long run.
Just as long as Killzone and Minecraft aren't delayed, I'll be fine.
That's what makes so many people complain "I bought that console for FF VsXIII / the Last Guardian / Agent / GT ..." and complain every month that the games they're expecting is delayed, or disappeared entirely.
People can do what they like, but it seems reasonable to buy a console for games that are available on it. If the games you want release later, then you can buy the console later. Consuming is not gambling, and you have nothing to win if you buy the hardware earlier.

I love all this 'already on PC' talk as if most of the console gamers are PC gamers as well.

Look what you did! Lol
Who do you think is in a big way responsible for the bolded?
One bit of bad ps4 news (which isn't even that bad in the big picture) and it seems a year worth of frustration is coming out of the woodwork.
Its odd how some people act like they never seen a damn game delay.
