This sounds like a fandub. What the hell.

I want this and a Berserk JRPG.

I'll forever campaign for a From Software Berserk game.

That shit would be too real for this world. They don't even have a tabletop version.

Tabletop HxH would have a higher barrier of entry than D&D.

Let's roleplay how would nen abilities work

If it had character creation, everyone would want to be a Specialist.

Zonic

Gives all the fucks
Hunter x Hunter MMORPG

Take that one Naruto has, swap the assists out, change some of the mechanics, & there ya go.

I am on neogaf and i played Rpgs, so yes lol? besides you know everybody will skip the tutorial and just go to a forum
It's what I'd do. "GAF how can I not fuck up my character, give me a quick break down of the Nen tutorial..." and I have a decent enough idea of how Nen works too, it's just complicated and it's something Togashi came up with so I'd be bound to fuck something up just because I rushed through it.

Berserk RPG would be pretty cheap, like that OP RPG for the 3DS.

We don't speak about that one.

There's a Naruto MMORPG? Are you talking about Naruto Online?

That's why you randomize Nen type and the specialist ability if you land on that.

Lol so many people would complain about that.
Emitters and Manipulators are underrated

Hell, specialists don't get to pick their powers in the series so why should they in the game? You get a randomized OP ability if you happen to get lucky enough to become a specialist.

Emitters and Manipulators are totally underrated. I agree with that.

Watch as one asshole save scum until he gets
Mereum
or Netero

Yeah, that free browser one.

I've never played it, but I would prefer a HxH JRPG that isn't a free browser game.
Not knocking browser games, but an HxH game needs a big budget to reach its full potential.

That sounds good on paper, but caliph95 has a point. It would be really difficult, if not impossible, to prevent players from save scumming their way to better abilities.

Playing as the main four (Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leori) would cause less of a headache.

Yea, but that's lame. Maybe make it so Nen gets picked when you first create a character but you don't find out what you have until after the Exam section, like an hour in. I mean, you'd have to be a real asshole to redo the first hour of a game just to get an OP ability.

The question is what would the combat look like? ActionRPG-style? Turn-based? I would think it'd need to be the latter given how crazy abilities can get an the amount of work that would need to go into animating them.

That's a solid idea. I think the game would need a lot of oversight from Togashi (lol) and a strong non-compromised vision from a director who is a big HxH fan.
Seems unlikely for a licensed game for a niche franchise with irregular hiatuses. :(

Definitely turn-based.

If it's not similar to Dragon Quest, Togashi would shun it. lol

The ideal HxH game revolves around the shadow beasts. You create a character and join them. You do all sorts of fun jobs. And then get off screened in the final act.

Which is why it will never happen :(

The war arc dragged a bit, i can't help but feel that kishimoto put too many major events into the same arc whereas if he had used a different framing device for some of those events people would've been able to get through it better.

You can't claim to have a rushed ending and then take three years to write it.

Sure you can. He plowed through plot points like he was driving a bulldozer at top speed and as a result he got himself stuck at a certain point and everything went even further off the rails as he tried to get around the road block of his own creation. He decided he wanted to end it and crammed four or five arcs worth of plot points and development into one and the whole thing went to shit.

My, and everyone else's, hatred for 90-95% of the final arc is well known. It goes from long and drawn out to head spinngly stupid. The anime only makes it 100% worse too.
