I feel like I missed a deal.
Gonna pick this up as soon as I'm done with Stellaris
Doesn't make much sense given that pretty much all water games are m-rated and have blood and Gore...including Sega published Dawn of War 2.Probably DLC again. It's more of an age rating issue than a money grubbing issue, the German USK for example will not give a game a higher rating (and Sega will try to avoid 18+ or even 16+ ratings if they try to go the same route as with past TWs) if 'more brutal animations and blood' are content that has to be bought extra (if even for 0.01 cents) as long as it's not free to simply download. Of course Sega also enjoys the extra cash they can get out of it, so there's that.
Finally a sequel to Dark Omen and Shadow of the Horned Rat.
Not really, Dx/OpenGL injection still functions I believe, so long as the app is a standard windows app. And if the dev wants to support mods, it certainly be possible. But yes, likely anything that intends to mess with the executable won't work unless it's exposed deliberately by the developer.
In my ideal world Dev would implement denuvo for the first 6 months or so, with proper mod support - all data files and references available outside of the executable, preferably with a toolset that allows access to some of the running game's memory via API through Denuvo.
Then in 6 months or so, denuvo is removed in a patch for full third party mod access.
Well, actually in an idela world people wouldn't pirate PC games![]()
Come join us in a war against these guys, theyd ask, with great frequency. Well give you lots of gold. How could I refuse? So Id take their cash and join their war, and then I do absolutely nothing. I had my own wars and worries. And then Id get the inevitable message from, lets say the Vampire Counts, asking me to leave the war. And yes, theyd offer me money too. So Id take it. A few turns later Come join us in the war against these guys. These same guys. Heres some cash again, too.
This went on and on, and nobody seemed to care that I was constantly leaving wars or that I wasnt actually participating in them. I was rich, and I didnt have to do anything.
If you really want to get into the weeds they can be fairly complex but you can definitely pick up enough through tutorials and the early stages of a campaign to get by, don't be intimidated.
No worries. In game tutorials are always really good and you learn easily by playing the campaign. It's all quite intuitive and easy to understand. And its goddamn fun
If only it were 40k, but I'm still somewhat interested.
Never played a Total War game, but love the Warhammer universe.
A good place to start?

We need Skaven next. Then Lizardmen.
Yeah.
I honestly can't think of a better marriage between fluff and game mechanics than a Total Warhammer to be honest.
Maaaaaaybe a Musou title.
Thanks, trying to decide between this and Overwatch next week.
Man I miss SSI box arts. Finally a sequel to Dark Omen and Shadow of the Horned Rat.

I actually was a big fan of Shadow of the Horned Rat.. it was right around the time I actually discovered my first White Dwarf magazine and bought my first Ork boyz... 5 fighters and 5 archers. Speaking of which, I just checked the Games Workshop website holy shit are they expensive now, $340 for 9 boyz and a few mounts, or $215 for a boss haha...I used buy boxes for $20-30 Canadian of just those generic plastic models ;p
I bet the next big expansion is going to be Elves. Skaven and Lizardmen should be the big expansion after that. Bretonnia should be the first DLC faction since they're already in the game.I think I heard somewhere that they're introducing factions(like 3 or 4) through large expansions that also expand the Grand Campaign map. I'm sure one of those factions will be in the first expansion.
I believe that the map covers all of the Old World. From what I gather, Bretonnia and Bretonnian units are in the game (and playable in multiplayer), but they aren't available for the Grand Campaign.Man oh man I hope they eventually cover most of the races. So badly want to see Skaven, Lizardmen, Tomb Kings, Wood Elves, and Bretonnians. What geographical area does the game cover (now)? Mainly the Empire?

How big is it?

That's great to hear, thanks! Means Wood Elves should be soon-ish too given their proximity to Empire and Bretonnia. Skaven too, of course.I bet the next big expansion is going to be Elves. Noooo! I want that drinking horn!!! Gimme.
It sucks that America doesnt even get a physical edition.
Haha I had a feeling it was that cinematic... either that or the first WAR one, but some reason I expecting that one or thinking that if it's not that one, I should find it myself and do the same thing lol. Warhammer always had some of the best cinematics.
