I'm pretty sure a lot of the most venomous Ubisoft detractors are PC gamers, and for good reason.
I get that Uplay has annoyed PC games but for me Ubisoft is the best AAA company, they always push platforms on a technical level and have a wide variety of games.
Even today Unity or Division maxed on PC looks incredible and for me they both run very well. Hopefully Wildlands will get a performance boost because with all the day/night and weather cycle its clearly in need of refinement.
Who cares their games look good if they play abso garbage? I mean Division what a joke it turned out , Wildlands looks trash from beta too
y want to see more smaller projects like that from developed. And while I didn't person like AC and FC, I can't deny that those are quality games too.
how dare they make games not catered to me, i will never forgive themEvery time I hear Ubi Soft I think about the literal diarrhea of "Imagine" and "animal ending in Z" titles they released some years ago. Then crapping AC titles at nearly the same speed. Then Uplay.
Over the time I have hated many companies, then forgotten why and embraced them. Not with Ubi. Even though I love the Ubi Art games, they have a track record of shit stains that not even time can wash for me.
A lot of people fail to process and how all of Ubisofts games (even different games within a franchise) are being made by different studios with different levels of talents, different strengths and importantly, different management.
When did they say that women were too hard to animate?
Ubisoft is the publisher with the most diverse representation of minority in this industry.
And no Unity wasn't jank, the gameplay showed depth and was extremely precise.
That's what I will never get with the complainers, theyll be the first to say that Ubisoft games are for casual and doesn't feature depth but when they do they're "janky" now.
What? if you dont like game then its not quality for you? Why would you care what others think if its good or not , if you dont like it then its bad
AAA maybe but soldats inconnus says no. So false statement.Ubisoft games have no heart or soul
....Rainbow Six?
Child of Light?
Valiant Hearts?
Fuckin' Rayman?
I never loved that gameplay - your assumption on my gaming taste is without foundation. Far Cry 4 was my first foray in to the series.I love how this is considered a downside. And it's the only "valid" complaint.
You probably loved that gameplay at some point. But instead of saying "meh, i merely got burnt out on it" you decided to exaggerate because you can't call something trash if you merely got burnt out.
Out of curiosity... what are real "great" games in your opinion?
Women are too hard to animate. If you google, there are a ton of articles on the subject. Their increased diversity in Syndicate was a direct response to this controversy.
I haven't played Unity. When I said "jank", I was talking about the endless plethora of bugs and glitches, framerate issues, etc.
...Mission design/mission structure is gameplayThe gameplay isn't even the same across titles within a franchise so I don't see how you can state something like this.
Now if you were talking about mission design/mission structure I can see where you're coming from.
This is very true, at least in their AAA IPs.Ubisoft games have no heart or soul
I like how you moves goal posts. First you say "The day they release a non open world AAA , I'll be interested". Then someone lists a few of those very same games and you come up with made up reasons.Rainbow Six - shooter
Child of Light - one time small game without any sign of continuation
Valiant Hearts - see above
Rayman - nice series - so when are we getting next one which isn't on smartphones ?
Even without considering that most of that list seems to be dead at Ubisoft since we haven't see any new greenlighted projects don't you think it's not that much considering size of the company ?

Also it's funny how you disregard Rainbow Six becauSe it's a shooter when it's one of the most unique shooter released in the last few years and there is absolutely nothing like it in the market i.e. the way destruction makes every single game play differently.
The fact that that quote got taken out of context to indicate that women are too hard to animate is a boon on the gaming community. Worse is how much misinformation is in that article.Women are too hard to animate. If you google, there are a ton of articles on the subject. There smaller games count as triple A due to the budget behind them. Their mission design/structure is giving the player a shit ton of agency in how to complete a simple task in large areas. They're released games that go against the mold multiple times this gen...Mission design/mission structure is gameplay
