That is the whiniest motherfucker i've heard on youtube - and that's a goddamn feat.

I feel bad for those not enjoying it. I wouldn't be against some tweaks, but Im having a ton of fun with this. I absolutely love how fast it is.

Yeah, I think I'm with everyone who is saying the beta was better. I can't quite put a finger on what it is exactly, but I remember the beta just having a better overall "feel" to it.

ND should just revert to the beta code and call it a day. Then we should all just stfu, stop complaining and enjoy the game.

I dunno, maybe we just need a little more time with it to adjust?

God forbid someone wants a cover-based TPS to allow for rifle fights.

i don't get to play this for a weeks until I've taken my exam, but I'm really not liking what they've changed. Like others, I don't fucking understand why? I mean logically, how does the team get together and make these ridiculous decisions? It's not as bad as a multiplayer ruining 1.05 esc update, but it certainly makes the game a lower quality mulitplayer game the game speed switch alone. Is the campaign that quick too ND?
 
Played way longer today. The inaccuracy is just getting worse and worse to me - it's so bad, I don't even bother aiming and firing at people half the time when I can just blindfire + punch them for the kill.

Plus, it's clear that some major bugs did not even get looked because I encountered these 2 bugs, which were there in the July BETA:

1) Party disconnect. Party leader gets in the game, others in his party don't.
2) Triangle pick up is still glitched. Couldn't pick up certain weapons and treasure when they were there for the entire duration of the match.

Seriously, is it hard to look into them and confirm fixes? They're not small glitches either, both greatly affecting party and gameplay flow.

Yes, I agree. The guy was annoying and obnoxious, but if there's one thing he is right about is that people don't aim in this game at all. He brings up a good point too, why bother aiming if that isn't the way the majority of people are playing? People who play this game are just going to follow the tactic people are using, which is to blindfire and melee because it's very effective and it works. I wish it wasn't the case, but it is what it is.

I'll leave feedback once again on the ND forums when I have the chance.

Also, anyone else feel that grenades are inconsistent at times? Sometimes I'm nowhere near the grenade, but I die.

Hopefully they'll at least consider these complaints a few days from now, if they leave it too long though we could have another Uncharted 2 patch situation on our hands.

All I said was that dude was whiny. And he is. Every single thing people did in the game he cried about. It was annoying.


I personally like the game speed. I have socom and gears for different levels of slow TPS games. What I loved about UC2 online was the crazy escapes and traversal. The new speed ups that even more. But it's early yet. I may grow to dislike it. I am in the same boat as everyone else -- I can't kill nearly as well as I could in the beta or in UC2. But im not mad about it... it's new. Either ill adapt or I won't -- but Im not ready to go apeshit on the game quite yet. Especially since im having fun, which is most important to me, far above my KDR.

This is why I'm apprehensive about putting too much time in this new multiplayer. I'll relearn everything and then I'll get buttfucked once again. I wish I understood the mentaility that drives their MP decisions. I wish someone that knows what the fuck he's talking about would interview the MP team.

Well, I attempted to get the mp code, but they didn't have the cups, so I came away with a drake skin and the AK skin... but nothing to use them with. So it goes.

Quick question for those playing MP. Who are the characters available to play as and is there a lot of customization?

I can understand why you're so pissed off considering the potential for this multiplayer to be amazing is through the roof, but it seems Naughty Dog are going in too many different directions for this at the same time.

There should be another u3 thread around here with a GAF dummy account so you can download. Look for it and try it out fer yourself.

For story characters there's little to no customization in this incarnation of the multiplayer. The generic Hero and Villain models have a bunch. There's Drake, Elena, Chloe, Sully and three UC3 bad guys.

I agree that the gameplay is too fast, but to be fair, melee kills were a very large part in Uncharted 2 MP. I think that the addition of sprint was ill advised.

All that Beta feedback, down the drain. What was the point in the end?
 
I haven't played any of the U3 beta at all, just some of U2 online when I had that game. But holy freaking crap at those youtube vids...I seriously would have thought that was sped up in post. Yikes.
 
WTF subway I tried again today, they even had the poster up in the store with Drake's face all over it, the people behind the counter had no idea what i was talking about. They only had the regular cups, no promotion. DON'T HANG THE FUCKING POSTER UP IF YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE THE SHIT. That's the second time I tried, getting very annoyed.
 
Being that the beta was tweaked several times... and UC2 was tweaked about 2000 times... I wouldn't get too upset (or psyched) about how the game is playing right now anyway. Like I said earlier, i love the speed... but I don't expect it to be like this in a week or two. I think the internet is making it clear to them that they dont like it.


And then they will change it again after that. Because that's just what Naughty Dog does. You can rage about it, I mean that's what the internet is for, or you can go with the flow and try to enjoy an ever-changing game.

I really enjoyed how the beta felt, so I have no idea why ND decided to screw with it. It seems to me like bullets have almost no stopping power and people can just run around 15 corners before they die.

It's just very strange to me because the VAST majority seemed to like the beta, so why change it? I just don't get it.
 
To institute all the changes required to get the game back to its beta form--which already paled in comparison with 1.04 U2, anyways--would require a miracle of profound proportions. Sadly, I don't think that'll happen. This seems to be an even bigger drop in quality than KZ2 to KZ3, and that was quite a sight to behold itself. This is like a bad joke.
 
Some people PMed me PSN credentials that didn't work. Anyone got one that hasn't been hijacked so I can get in on this? The Subway I went to knew nothing of the promotion.

The speed isn't the main problem, the problem is that there is no counter to it, at least if you try to use your guns, I mean people can literally just run circles around you some Lvl5 dude just ate my bullets earlier(actually I'm not sure they hit, I got hit markers but w/e...), ran a full circle around me shot me with two bullets and finished me with a melee, that shouldn't happen especially if I have my reticule on you and I'm getting hit markers.

If they have to make the game so fast, hit boxes should be bigger.

The beta, from day 1, FELT great. Thats the thing.

It wasn't even about gun damage. It just FELT better. Then the para became GOOD. Then the G-mal, then the ak got a nerf I think, and slowly it got better and better.

After the beta, I was 200% sure this was going to be my PS3 MP game for a long time. The mechanics were locked down, and felt great. Now we just needed maps, fix some bugs/glitches, add some features, and we were ready to roll.

But this. This is the new 1.05 patch. The 1.05 patch before the game even shipped. I swear on my life, if this was the first time playing UC3, I would still hate it. Nothing about this game feels good. Nothing feels satisfying in the least. I know this is anecdotal, but 2 of my PSN friends agreed with me that the game is terrible now.

The recoil, the speed, spread, the sprint, everything about this is one unmitigated disaster which is unbelievable to me because of the amazing beta.

I honestly believe ND is making a big fucking mistake if this goes to retail. If the majority of this forum is saying that the BETA WAS BETTER, something is wrong.

Anyways, thats my opinion. Personally, I dread starting up U3 right now which should not be the case. I'll be there for Single-Player, but Multi-player will be non-existent for me.

If that's true, and im not sure it is yet after just 24 hours of play, it will be tweaked. Whenever there are big changes to a game there is a severe overreaction and then things come back to reality a few days later and then the developers can figure out if it was just an internet freak out or real.


In this case it may very well be real. But... it's 24 hours old. Im not convinced that anyone has adapted yet.
 
The G-MAL seems useless in my experience with it. I thought that being a burst it would take guys down fast but I got destroyed in every gun fight I got in. Not really feeling the beta so far but I plan on playing it some more before I make final judgement. I still plan on getting the game if just for the single player.

People have adapted, they don't want gun fights, they rush you like it's MW2 Marathon+Lightweight with Akimbo rangers and they shoot+melee you.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling. I play hardcore mode and it seems everyone has fleet foot by default when they aim and jitter around to get the kill. I can blast people all day and they just scurry off the edge of buildings to safety. Frustrating.

Hopefully they make changes soon before those who constantly play and make it to max levels get too used to it.
 
It's not bad mp, it's just not great mp. Beta felt brilliant. Movement, recoil, aim etc was fine and felt right.

How many patches until they fully Killzone 3 the multiplayer, i wonder? The MP at the moment is definately a step back, personally. Aiming is janky and movement is slimy.
