The more I play, the more frustrated I get. I am just not having fun. I don't understand...Team Objective, which is my favorite mode has become somewhat of a frustrating experience. Sigh. The only mode so far where I have no problems is Three Team Deathmatch.
 
I am 7-1, my only loss is to Scotties1, Superspeedway, and what was apparently a Naughty Dog employee on their team (NDI-Bartek). I had no idea they were basically making a version of Warzone (Killzone's multiplayer) that is faster paced and doesn't have ammo caches or TSP's for idiots to camp on for 20 minutes. So awesome. Once people figure out that they need to defend their own marked man I might never leave that playlist. For the love of all that is holy Naughty Dog, leave that mode the way it is. It avoids the monotony of typical TDM while not having static, easy to camp on objective targets. Love it.

Were you Gibration? I was getting raped lol. I haven't UC in like two years, this wasn't a very good way to be reintroduced :l Think I'll just stick to co-op and arena play once the game ships cause I am rubbish at competitive play

I'd wait and see what happens. I'm normally an ace at UC2/UC3 beta multiplayer, and I couldn't hit shit in this. :\
 
I was pretty comfortable with the GMAL in the previous beta, but this time around just aiming the thing properly (let alone killing anyone with regularity) feels next to impossible. Not really sure what the culprit is. I may simply be rusty, but something still feels off.

And there's my wholly unscientific observation for the night.

All of my rage in that mode comes from the buddy spawning; everyone almost always spawns on their buddy, meaning they are that much closer to the objective, meaning you have that much less time between firefights -- sometimes it's just a continuous wave.

Buddy spawns should be disabled in all Objective modes or the objectives themselves need to have zones around them to prevent buddy spawning.

2 guys should not be able to camp your plunder chest while their back-in-the-saddle'n-buddies continually spawn, over and over, preventing you from getting anywhere near your chest.

I wonder If this is gonna be like Brawl, when people were all excited for it to come out, and after it did, we all just went back to playing Melee. Cause as it is, I definitely had more fun with UC2. Some of these maps I feel completely lost in :/

Yeah my team did next nothing in the idol capture portion of the match LOL.

Anyway, what is it that we were supposed to get for reaching level 25 in the beta? I cannot even remember. Also do you eventually unlock the subway shirt and that custom gun? I used my second code to get the dynamic theme. Getting in game cash seemed pointless, you'll unlock everything eventually if you play it enough.

There is. I've had my best results with a shotgun... which has to be picked up and I promptly lost because of sprint + melee from behind. FML. :(

I think you'll unlock the subway shirt after your collect the treasure pieces. One of the codes I redeemed was Subway Drake, which is a skin and I don't think he's unlockable through the game. The rest of the stuff like the Subway logo shirt or hat are unlocked by completing the treasure sets. BTW, thank you for actually aiming at me and everyone else...you don't know how many people don't do this. :lol

That is a problem, but I don't really mind it. It's worse when you have back to the saddle maxed out, though. So far, I've only run across two teams who buddy spawn camp...and it wasn't a very enjoyable experience. I don't know if ND should disable it, but I think there should be certain conditions of when you can spawn back with your buddy.

arne, ND, don't think I didn't notice the added dialogue when you high five your buddy! I love you guys for listening! I got a huge smirk on my face when Elena said, "Put it here!" So good. :D
 
Has anyone mentioned that you can now climb up to the zipline from the backside of the Chateau now? I noticed it earlier today, so it shows the guys at Naughty Dog did listen to some complaints at least.
 
GGs to Darkatomz, and Killthee. Started using the M9 tonight, really like it. Can actually get kills at a distance with it, unlike the AK. Before I would just use the GMAL. Still keep forgetting to taunt after I kill an enemy for the Daredevil perk. D:

Daredevil perk??? What does it do and how do I get it?
 
I believe everyone starts with the Daredevil booster...it's the one where you get ammo when you taunt over someone you killed.

OK that explains the $10K I started with. Wasn't even aware of the other stuff that could be unlocked.

BTW, thank you for actually aiming at me and everyone else...you don't know how many people don't do this. :lol
What do they do? Spray and pray hip fire? I like the cover system and lining up shots. I've just been playing Deus Ex Human Revolution so spinning from cover to cover is like a reflex at this point.

Just to confirm, the ranking levels are transfer over to the retail game from this demo right?
Yes. I really love this. Reminds me of when Counter-Strike Source came out a month before Half-Life 2 for anyone who preordered on Steam. Once the game comes out I can focus on the campaign and co-op for a week and not feel like I'm falling behind. I wish more games would do this.
 
I spent quite a bit of time playing it tonight, and my marked improvement is very miniscule.
Seems I fair much better at the slow paced, stealth based games like Assassin's Creed.
It's a good thing the other members of my team are great, haha.

Either way, having a lot of fun with it. Seems my most effective play-style is to run and gun with the handgun, sprint up close and bitch slap my opponent out. I never think to use grenades when I'm being pummeled, so I at least kill them when they kill me.
Also seem to be doing pretty well with stealth kills. By the comments I heard by people with mics, it really pisses people off. Fun times.

This is the problem with this game. The guns do such shit damage that close range melee is completely superior to shooting.

I agree. I got into U2 very late, but I was somewhat effective at shooting my enemies down. I didn't use melee much at all, unless I was surprised by an enemy coming around the corner.

I can actually count to 3 or 4 while pumping an enemy with bullets, and they still don't go down. Hope they patch this.

haha, one of my teammates was pissing the other team off doing just that. He was using the K7 Machine Gun, which seems to have great blindfire accuracy.
 
I still don't understand how accurate blindfire can be. Shouldn't the guns have the most recoil when you're blindfiring?

Yes, K7 blindfire is so deadly. I unlocked it and holy crap. That gun is awful to aim too, so the only use that gun gets is blindfire by everyone who has it.
 
Yeah, the guns do feel totally fucking nerfed. I wanted to chock it up to me just totally sucking, but there were more than a few times when I was pumping a guy full of lead and he'd just run and gun and melee me. I'm used to long gun play, and it's just not doing shit, which leaves me sprinting and meleeing, or trying to stealth kill like a coward. Feels bad man.
 
I just wish the reticule would turn red when I'm hitting someone. I can't even tell if I'm registering a shot because they seem to walk right through my bullets with no problem.
 
Has anyone unlocked these Beta Decal Packs yet by completing the specific amount of games in each game mode yet? Be interested to know what they unlock.

Isn't there a booster that increases blind fire accuracy? Haven't gotten myself, yet.
Combining that with the K7 will be sure to piss a lot of people off, then. haha.
 
Aaaannnnd I'm done for the night. It's not even the sprinting or the downgrade of weapons that bothers me, it's the fucking broken ass melee system.

All of the guns have that weapon mod, except the sniper rifle.

I also want to love the sniper rifle, but it is so horrible. I don't mind that it zooms in when you aim, it's that extra shit that's on the screen that I find distracting that messes up my aim. I wish there was an option to remove that. And since there's no hit detection, there's times where it seems like I've shot a guy two times, but he doesn't die.

Which essentially just leaves you with a shit K/DR, we all need to pray to Space Jesus to give us the final game equivalent of UC2 beta. I had a lot of fun with that.

Yeah, I didn't get much time with the beta, but I really liked what I played. This feels much more broken by comparison.

God, I hope not. Was playing earlier, and saw a guy stuck in the wall. So it begins?

Anyway, I hope they just increase the damage done by guns, so a person can't just waltz up to you while you're shooting them and bitch slap you to death.
