Yeah, that'd be perfect. I like the new speed but just a tad slower would be good. If I had to choose between the two speeds—beta or this—I'd choose this, but just a touch less would be perfect.
 
Level cap for retail will be at least 75. Also, there's two different level 75 icons in the leaderboards, so the retail game may have some kind of prestige mode.

You can view these if you go to the Co-op leaderboards.
 
On a positive note the music during matches is godly, if I remember correctly it only plays during power plays which sucks since I'm planning to stay in hardcore.

There's also some music that comes in as the match is coming to a close, unless that's just in one mode. And yeah, it's fantastic. Can't wait for the youtube vids of the mus- er, I mean... the soundtrack.

Wasn't there a sort of prestige in U2? I never played that much, but I saw people with Roman numerals and shit for their levels and I always figured that's what it meant.
 
The M9 is a lot easier to aim than the AK but that gun is beyond weak so now my hope is to get to Level 28 and unlock the AK accuracy mod. Shit part is even if it does work, forcing the player to reach Level 28 before the game becomes semi-playable as a true Uncharted experience is a total joke.

Level 51 and higher were in Roman numerals starting with I (so 60 is X not LX) and that's when you started to unlock the negative boosters.
 
HEALTH IS PERFECTLY FINE

It only takes 6 or 7 shots to the chest to kill with the P9; 8ish with the AK/M9; and 2 bursts with the Gmal.

I enjoy it as much as 1.05 U2, that is to say I am frustrated 95% of the time while genuinely enjoying the other 5; instead of the other way around for launch U2, and even 50/50 for current U2.

The most enjoyment I've had so far is meleeing 4 guys in a row with the idol during Treasure Hunter. Ha!

Speed is and has always been the problem in U3. In the beta everyone complained because it was too slow; default running was slowed from U2 in an attempt to justify the addition of sprinting, only it wasn't useful at all because sprinting was only slightly faster than the base U2 movement.

I said it when it was announced, but sprinting completely ruins the game. In U2, if you wanted to play as a rusher with a shotgun/pistole/melee, you had to be smart in how you approached your kill because running head first into them would get you killed by a player with any sort of skill. Now, in U3, just sprint straight into a guy, blindfire a few shots, melee and get yourself a kill 90% of the time.

I didn't want to but I am going to have to join the rest of the people who are kind of not happy with how different this plays from UC2. I find this game has more "wait what?" moments than any other game I have played online recently.

This is not a joke. I tried this and it works.

1. Choose a full auto gun. M9 works well, by ak47 is good too.
2. DO NOT press L1 at any time. Use the little dot on your screen.
3. Hip Fire. Yes, just hip fire from the hip. As you get close to someone, start running around them in circles as you hip fire. As soon as you've done a little damage, melee them.
4. If someone is far away, sprint till you can get close, making sure to weave in and out. Repeat step 3.
5. Thats it. You have officially mastered Uncharted 3.

Everyone is playing this way. Why shouldn't you? This is the new Uncharted.

I wish GMAL was FAL effectiveness ala early U2 MP :/
 
I don't think sprint would be too bad in this if they significantly reduced the distance you can run and had mobility closer to what it was during the beta. Then it's useful for escaping being shot at or chasing someone for a stealth kill but you can't run all over the place or run straight at someone who's aiming and shooting just to hipfire and melee them.
 
Another weird ass decision from ND: In objective mode if the game goes to 2-2 on the scoreboard it stops and ends as a tie game instead of going for a fifth tiebreaker round. WTF!?
 
so.. the weapon expert booster is gone? And the only way for a double (or even triple lol) booster is to get unique weapons?

I dislike sprint as it's a free run thing now. I liked it when you could barely move to the sides (hey, it's a sprint, not some boosting drug). Right now, with the current accuracy of weapons it's barely impossible to trace anyone who decides to sprint away... unless youre in short range to either blindfire him or just kill him from behind.

Another thing I dislike is that the blue arrows are gone. I loved to know when I wasn't on his eyesight, but no, now a ninja face prompts if i'm close enough. I want to know it...before i'm in close quarters if possible.
 
My suggestions:

1. Change running speed and sprinting back to how it was in the Beta
2. Change the AK back to how it was in the Beta
3. Bring back the bullet impact sounds the Beta had

AFAIK that's all that was changed from Beta but they all add up to create a really random, chaotic experience. I know blindfire/melee has its place in these games, but I feel it is the only reliable way to get a kill now. The AK is just terrible, I can't tell if I'm hitting someone and it's really sloppy and inaccurate. I remember it had a learning curve in the Beta, but once I got used to the new feel compared to UC2 it was a piece of cake to handle. The few times I used the M9 it felt a lot better though, like I could actually aim and shoot again.

This game can be really, really fun in MP. But ND has to make the right changes now. Everything else is there and has the potential to be much better than UC2.
 
Is anyone else getting some "you were removed from the game" kick outs. I doubt it has anything to do with voting, it has to be connection related but damn its happening to me a bunch. Does the game just kick you out if you connection dips a little or something?

currently level 31 - played a few 3v3 deathmatch. I'm liking all of this uncharted3 MP play. With the exception of playing with idiots who won't do the objectives; I'm liking it a lot. Free for all is pretty amusing.

I can't wait for the retail game where all the unlockable features will finally show up. Pretty sure you'll be able to buy more clothes for elena/chloe etc - more than whats currently available with the 1x outfit + colour choices.

and my left index finger and inner palm hurt from the way you have to press the left thumbstick to sprint.
 
Real talk:

Cons- Game's on fast forward always (each game = spray and pray + sprint away), gun recoil, nerfed everything, does the camera move slower than it did in the beta? It feels very off now, so basically everything except...

pro- the music is nice...

What have ND done? I just... how? How did they reach this conclusion after U2 and U3 beta? How do they keep reaching horrible conclusions after getting feedback? The changes they made just don't make any sense and destroy the fun. This just compounds with all their bizarre decisions over the course of uncharted 2 - uncharted 3 multi. I have no faith that they know what they're doing anymore and I'm just gonna bail

Wat. I've not had any tie games yet but that's seriously so odd.
Another thing I've noticed is that instead of the triangle prompt to throw back a grenade at the bottom-center of your screen now there's a tiny prompt on the grenade itself. I thought it was odd that I hadn't been able to throw back any of the grenades that landed near me but it turns out the icon is a lot harder to see.

never had this. I'm going to assume you hit the max cap time of 20 minutes.



sprints pretty good for when you spawn poorly away from the action and want to get back fast.
 
just got a chance to play it last night for the first time since beta. wow, not sure exactly whats going on but it feels like a different game then what I was playing just a few months ago and I don't mean it in a good way. It looks the same but gameplay is just off and gunplay doesn't seem as tight as it was. kinda disappointed.
 
heh, hardcore mode feels the same to me, just played a round and it felt the same as normal team deathmatch

i miss levels with water in it. The Lost temple in U2, the fort, and the other one. They need more of that!

Just change it in options to R3, works better for me, no accidental sprints and stuff.
 
This...sounds......HORRIBLE.
Nothing will ever beat launch U2.

I'm not touching the multiplayer. I'm just going to soak in the single player for what it is.

So, my UC3 logo stills shows "beta"? does that mean there is hope we could see one more big change before the final comes in? Maybe they'll slow it down a bit?

What? Uncharted 2 launch was horrible.....it had that OP grenade and it was spammed way much more than my experience in Uncharted 3....Maybe Uncharted 2 after a patch or two, yes, but definitely not launch.

I really hate how short a round is sometimes. When you play free for all, the round is over in 3 to 5 minutes. Why can't the cap be higher? 25 or 30 would be perfect. Now after 3 minutes you're looking at loading screens again. Really frustrating.
 
I'm so bad on the train level :( , mainly the beginning haha, always missing the jump, RIP Drake

good thing suicides don't hurt the team score :P

They need to up the default accuracy for weapons like AK and para, make the reticle tighter, especially the para, and lower the recoil on the para, way too much recoil right now for a fucking pea shooter, accurate tight shots.

They did it already!......in the beta.

Then they decided to revert back now for some reason.

well, tbh... because they probably read the beta suggestions on gaf. I know that many people were complaining about how limited sprint was. And now we get this freerun.
 
I enjoyed the Beta much more, Naughty Dogg need to fix this shit soon before more people try the multiplayer out and get turned off. U3 was going to be my go to multiplayer shooter for this fall, but I am starting to have second thoughts.
