They did it already!......in the beta.

Then they decided to revert back now for some reason.

Well the AK did get ridiculous auto-aim in the last beta update. Frankly ND simply has no clear direction when it comes to multiplayer, they don't really know what they want or what they are doing. I can't get over the fact of how awful sprinting is. It's now the most important mechanic in the game. Not shooting, not aiming, not jumping, not cover, but freaking sprinting.

So apparently blindfire means hipfire as well.

Yeah, ak47 hipfire with the blindfire mod.

Even more broken than the m9, lol.

I'll probably be the only one in the thread to say it, but I really like all the adjustments.

I don't know, feels great to me.

You know what I noticed too? I'm not sure if anyone said this, but in the previous Uncharted MP(BETA and Uncharted 2), I recall getting hit by bullets slowing you down, but it doesn't do that in this MP. Why would they take that out especially with the sprint?

The first beta... I felt like I was actually earning my kills.

With this one... it just feels like I've figured out an exploit before the other players. There's NO benefit to playing in cover, to using mid to long range weapons. Just turn yourself into a sprinting asshole and slap your opponent with your cock. Make sure to gloat about your mad skills after the match!

Going back to Gears 3. The SOS kids are far less obnoxious.

I notice they don't have the "stopping power" booster any more either.

I discovered how you are supposed to play Uncharted 3.

This is not a joke. I tried this and it works.

1. Choose a full auto gun. M9 works well, by ak47 is good too.
2. DO NOT press L1 at any time. Use the little dot on your screen.
3. Hip Fire. Yes, just hip fire from the hip. As you get close to someone, start running around them in circles as you hip fire. As soon as you've done a little damage, melee them.
4. If someone is far away, sprint till you can get close, making sure to weave in and out. Repeat step 3.
5. Thats it. You have officially mastered Uncharted 3.

Everyone is playing this way. Why shouldn't you? This is the new Uncharted.
oh god, I experienced this last night and noticed how many people were blindfiring/firing from the hip.

this has to be some social experiment from ND, lol... I can't see it any other way.

how could you go to something fun with a lot of potential to something that's just awful?

The BETA was the most fun I've had with a third person shooter online and the improvements we saw was very nice. Why throw it all away?

With everything else as it is, and sprinting toned down a bit, I think this would be perfect. Sprinting speed is the only complaint that I agree with in this thread. I definitely don't want them to reduce the health!

I think people may be confusing the health with the hitbox or accuracy of the default weapons. I feel like the health is the same. Is the speed the same as the beta or is it just everybody using sprint now?

I heart sprint as it is, but I do want better aiming.

Honestly ND just has to combat one thing - Mikey Jr.

The person aiming at the oncoming sprinter and shooting - should have the advantage and the win. Perhaps an exponential drop in sprinting speed per bullet taken. Heck - there is just so many solutions to this problem. I think ND should be able to come up with the right one.

Who knows. This MP is in great shape I think. All ND has to do is tweak it just right and I think it'll be awesome.

The health is fine. Anyone saying otherwise has not adjusted.

For the 36594769347347943734793259326847347943 1/2 time, it's not the health that is the problem, it's the mini Usain bolts running all over the map coupled with the increased recoil added with bullets have nearly zero stopping power.

So in short, it needs to be more like the beta.

It's fine but it's not fine.

There's a lot of factors working against you in this game.

I'm not debating the latter, there are some things that need tweaking, but the health isn't one of them. There are people here saying it's the health, and it isn't. I've had enough of these morons ruining U2's perfect multiplayer with their garbage complaints.

Also, RIP U2 Chloe model, you will be missed. She's been toned down quite a bit, and I don't know why.

There's NO benefit to playing in cover, to using mid to long range weapons.

Yes, I've basically just started sprinting everywhere, all blindfire.

Just doesn't feel as satisfying as before, it's literally Run and Gun. I hesitate to think what the Kal-7 is like...

Holy shit. The more I think about it, the more I realize everyone really does just run around. Kind of sad. Zero tactical play. Zero long range effectiveness. Fuck, hopefully things get fixed.

The multi-player is extremely frustrating to play. everyone sprints/rolls/melees each other to death. The little bit of strategy that UC2 had left has been completely stripped away. Spotty gunfire and inconsistent weapon strength are other major problems. The mag and parole pistol take two shots to kill along with the shotgun (in some rare cases). It basically makes those weapons useless against anyone with a M9 or k67 up close. Blindfire and melee rule all. It literally takes three bursts from the g-mal to kill your opponent (muddle/long distance) which is almost impossible against someone who knows how to sprint & roll. Even the sniper rifle plays totally different than before with three hits needed for the lower torso, two for upper, and one for headshots. No one ever takes cover anymore so good luck using the sniper successfully. Even the stealth kills have become spotty with the square button not doing what you expect it to in certain situations.

The levels are not designed nearly as well as UC2's. Sometimes it Is hard to figure out exactly where you are and the levels seemed designed to encourage up close battles. I miss the UC dates of running in space for long periods of time without taking cover equaled death. This went from being my sure-fire goty to questionable purchase. I expect the single-player to live up to the godly-ness of UC2 but I could easily finish it with a rental now.

Very dissapointed so far.

Edit: sorry for the typos, I am posting from my IPhone.

Its really unfortunate that the MP has taken such a step back. Unless things are fixed I can't see myself spending the whole 60 at launch. It pretty much plays exactly like all the bad parts of UC2's MP. At first I thought it was just the player base being really good, but it just doesn't feel good to play at all.

Yeah this is extremely disappointing. Uncharted 2 multiplayer was perfection, but this is just a free-for-all disaster. Cover? HA! Aiming? HA! Blindfire/melee/grenades is what it comes down to. Very sad.

If this is what release multiplayer is like, I may very well go back to Uncharted 2. Either that or I may give Gears 3 a shot. I hear they handle their multiplayer quite well in that game.

I like how everyone keeps comparing it to UC2. They should be really comparing UC3 to the end of the UC3 beta, which is nearly perfect. The UC3 Beta multiplayer was a huge improvement over Uncharted 2.

Yeah, I hope those mentioning U2 aren't referring to current U2. Also, they probably missed out on the beta if that's all they have to compare it to. The beta was absolutely fantastic from a gameplay perspective. They've ironed out the graphical hiccups but messed with the gameplay. Why? For difference's sake?

I played this today at a friend's place. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ND!??

It pretty much goes like this

- Blindfire accuracy is far too high. Reduce the accuracy and you'll have less people spraying.
- Increase auto aim on ALL weapons while holding L1.

- Shooting sprinting enemy should slow them down considerably.
- I want my Rockets Only maps They offered a nice break from traditional gameplay.
- The AK needs to be beefed up. G Mal auto aim needs beefing as well.

+ I love the speed. Its perfect where its at. Don't change it. DO NOT CHANGE THE SPEED.

Lets have these changes implemented soon.

This will solve almost 90% of people bitching.

I never played the beta personally but have been an avid UC2 player and even UC2 in its current state is better then this.

Played a game of UC2 MP then played a round of UC3. Did not like the differences....

EDIT: Just played a round of TDM in Desert Village. I know what you guys mean, it just felt completely different than the beta, way too much sprinting, rolling, jumping and blind fire.

Naughty Dog! Make kills / kill related medals earn next to 0 exp and half the money on plunder and team objective. Every random game there are 4-5 peeps just walking around going for kills and ignoring objectives.

One plunder game on Syria, they threw the idol near one of the towers and I couldn't climb to reach it, and most weren't even caring about it. 10 min deathmatch :(.

Oh and I'm not good with the balance ideas but if when ironsighted, you made more damage atop the accuracy, that would be great (for me at least).

I still love ND. Near the end of the July beta, that game was near perfection. I participated in it heavily, gave as much feedback as I could, because the way it played was so damn good. I was so fucking pumped. I thought the July beta would be the same beta now. I created the Subway thread, and could not wait.

What they released was....this. Why they felt the needed to drastically alter all the mechanics, I do not know. Who came up with these bullshit balance changes? What is the thought process at ND?

Well, because of that now, sprint-blindfire-melee is rampant now.

It is NOT about health. Health is fine. Let's get that straight.

-The problem is the seemingly infinite sprint with 100% mobility
-The AK-47 having such recoil and spread that any enemy over 15 feet away is not worth shooting at.
-The G-mal recoil.
-The Para going back to sucking over long distances.
-The lack of slowdown when an enemy is being shot.
-Blindfire being way too effective, even without the mod which makes it even better.

Those are the problems. People want lower health because all those factors are against you. Long distance engaging is dead. The Ak-47 can't do it. The G-mal got nerfed. The para....lol.

So what do people do now? They sprint up to you, run around in circles hipfiring at you, then when they have hit you with a small number of bullets, they melee you. Thats the name of the game now.

I'm doing it because everyone else is doing it. Fuck it, ND wants me to play like this, I will. And guess what, I am actually doing good. My K/D went up .1 to 1.51. Thats only in a short amount of games.

If this is going to be the game in November, I'm not buying it. Simple as that.

edit: Not buying it day 1. The SP should still be amazing.

The speed would be fine if accuracy when aiming was better. Good idea for those who suggested it.

Anyone know about the uc3 theme from subway? Same one offered on the store or new?

The beta was absolutely fantastic from a gameplay perspective. They've ironed out the graphical hiccups but messed with the gameplay. Why? For difference's sake?

Yes, the G-MAL was my weapon, accurate, powerful, and the kills were satisfying. If I was getting shot from behind, I could turn and have a chance at killing them--this is what was encouraging to see, and was missing from U2 post-patches.

Now, I just sprint and fire, win most of the time. I've had to change my strategy from aiming in a TPS because it is not effective. This is an incredible thing to realize.

But there's many good things--the music, the stages, the weapon sounds, the constant shit-talking, Plunder being a ton of fun, etc that I don't want to give up on it. I will see how far I can get with this.

I'm also guessing that all of the Emblems aren't in. And the Capture $ amount needs to be higher, I understand the reasoning, but raising it more wouldn't impact that much.

Is there a full maplist floating around somewhere? I keep getting the four from the beta (counting syria here), with the only "new" ones being london underground and desert town.

I'm assuming there's some snow level since I could've sworn that was one of the menu backdrops, but I've never seen it come up in rotation. Or any of the remake maps.

I wouldn't say I wouldn't buy the game if the multiplayer stays this way (I play Uncharted for the single player anyway), but I will most likely go back to Uncharted 2 multi. May even buy the DLC map packs and just stick with that for another few years until another fun multiplayer game comes around.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts, great post. Hopefully ND listens.

I'm quite casual with multiplayer games this gen because of all this stuff. Developers always seem to make it for mass appeal instead of having a singular vision and sticking with it.

I'm not really a fan of this multiplayer, I'll mess around with it and not take it seriously but I'm not going to spend loads of time playing. I spent loads of time with the U2 beta and some time after the launch, then ND made all those weird decisions to the game and ruined it. They are doing something similar to this one as well.

It doesn't bother me though because that is what I expect from mulitplayer games this gen. The only mulitplayer game that was worth my time was Warhawk and I'm looking forward to Starhawk as well.

Run around blindfiring + melee has always been a part of UC multiplayer. It feels as effective as it always has.

With that said, the added recoil, etc. it makes long range gunplay less reliable, forcing people to resort to blindfire + melee.

But again, blindfire + melee is the same as it's always been.

I really think recoil and accuracy are nearly the same as the beta. I also think that hit boxes haven't been changed that drastically either. The only thing that offsets the entire balance of this MP Is the speed and sprinting. It completely breaks the game.

This. So sad ;_;

The only change that's really needed is to have taking damage cancel sprint. No need to mess with weapon accuracies or auto aim.

lol what a disaster of multiplayer, I played 20+ hours (lvl 35 already) and it's all a huge blindfire/sprint/melee spam/nade fest... what a terrible disappointment after the glorious summer beta in its final week state... now the game is just me aiming at the head / upper torso of an enemy that runs straight at me at insane speed "eating" my bullets and killing me with one blind shot and a melee hit, aiming is punished in UC3.

- drastically nerf hipfire autoaim / blindfire damage

- drastically reduce melee damage, cqc combats are so random now

- drastically add stopping power to AIMED shots to an enemy who's running at you blindfiring.

- slightly buff the AK accuracy, decreasing the mad recoil

- make the guns the same way they were during the final days of the summer beta, they were better and satisfying, now no1 uses them since they're to busy blind firing with their AKs/M9s... so sad!!!!!

WHY SO MANY CHANGES FOR THE WORSE? FIX THIS SHIT FFS !!!

Tip: if you have any issue whatsoever with the MP beta, don't go to the ND forums looking for help/answers/bug reports.

ND really needs to clean up their "community" over there.

What a coincidence, they really need to clean up this piece of shit multiplayer as well!

Not sure if this has been discussed, but is anyone disappointed that when you are playing split screen, the 2nd player can no longer sign into their PSN profile and collect EXP on their character?

Now the second player will play as JohngPR (1) now for example.

:(

Really? I thought they said it will be in the full game.
