Aww it's so cute to see the people who know they've lost a firefight so they desperately toss a grenade lol. Even sadder are the ones who toss one and run instead of even trying to fire a shot :lol.
If you got em, use em.

Does anyone else notice that when you pick up the treasure with your long weapon equipped but then drop it you have your pistol equipped instead? In UC2 and the beta it would only switch to your pistol if you had pulled it out while carrying the treasure. It's pretty annoying since half the time I drop the treasure it's to use my long weapon.
Also, camera controls are still inverted in cinema mode and flipping them in options does nothing.

The first beta was already a serious step down from UC2, so I'm not sure that I'll enjoy this either. Sounds like things have gotten worse for the most part. Still, I'm about to go to Subway to try and get my hands on it.

It just seems like they took a fundamentally different approach to the philosophy and design of the multiplayer, which is not something that can easily just be patched away. From perks, to sprinting, to health, it seems that they've drastically changed the core of the game for the worse.

I KNOW, right? Why in the name of FUCK was that changed?

I agree. The very core of the gameplay is fundamentally different from and worse IMO than Uncharted 2.

The first U3 beta was ok though IMO... it was different yes, but it wasn't so different that your U2 skills wouldn't transfer over.

Anyone else also feel that the interface just feels cheap compared to U2. This whole thing almost feels like a low budget rip off of Uncharted multiplayer.

Was development of the multiplayer handed over to 989 studios circa 1998 or something?

Not sure if this has been discussed, but is anyone disappointed that when you are playing split screen, the 2nd player can no longer sign into their PSN profile and collect EXP on their character?

Now the second player will play as JohngPR (1) now for example.

:(
That's fucking retarded. I can't believe they didn't implement dual log in. Jesus.

They said the ui will get a new look in the final release.

Ive been playing for few hours and can hardly kill anyone at all.
Everyone time I shoot them it seems they will never die and when they shoot me I die in an instant.
Is it because everyone is higher level and have better stuff unlocked?
Any tips?

Game is awesome, but yeah they fucked the weapon balance hard in the ass. If they reduce the sprint speed Id only like for it to be a slight reduction.

But Hoooooooly Hell @ the music in this game. There was this one song that played during end of a match, IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!

Edit: Also, ALL the maps are cool as fuck. And yes, that includes the train and the air strip.

I enjoy it as much as 1.05 U2, that is to say I am frustrated 95% of the time while genuinely enjoying the other 5; instead of the other way around for launch U2, and even 50/50 for current U2.

I said it when it was announced, but sprinting completely ruins the game. In U2, if you wanted to play as a rusher with a shotgun/pistole/melee, you had to be smart in how you approached your kill because running head first into them would get you killed by a player with any sort of skill. Now, in U3, just sprint straight into a guy, blindfire a few shots, melee and get yourself a kill 90% of the time.

Oh man, I remember when GAF started using the Steel Fist back in the U2 beta to counteract the bullshit homing bullets the long guns seemed to have. In the full game, people would get so pissed and call us a bunch of unskilled players because anyone could do well when playing that way. Then they would try to play that way and end up with zero kills for the rest of the match. You had to be smart to do that in U2. You had to know the escape routes, the funneling points, and the grenade angles for larger groups. Map knowledge was the most important part of the game at that time.

Good run and gunners would kill the entire team in a short span of time and then kill half of the respawned squad. Bad ones would get destroyed by anyone with a half a brain.

It's not like that in U3. Anyone can play that way and it is annoying as hell. I barely even do it anymore. So much easier to aim and then destroy those guys.

What? Uncharted 2 launch was horrible.....it had that OP grenade and it was spammed way much more than my experience in Uncharted 3....Maybe Uncharted 2 after a patch or two, yes, but definitely not launch.

Heeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll NO!

Truth.

And now The game keeps freezing every time I try and join a party. Actually like this demo and I can't even play now.

Just thought I'd test the youtube upload feature and show something: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Dmx0-ii2PY
I call in my RPG kickback and switch to my pistol for some reason, is this happening to anyone in else? It's happened to me a few times and I don't think I'm accidentally hitting the left button. Then when I fire it into the group of 3-4 guys it does nothing. In cinema mode it exploded but when I was playing it just got swallowed by the ground.

The upload feature is quite good, pity that you can't upload in higher res. Does anyone know what the length limit for videos is?

I dare each of you to hit R1 twice on a non-moving target with the GMAL equipped. Let me know if they die or not.

Two bursts is rare that they die I think I've managed to do it a few times in two but you have to be pretty lucky and who knows they might have been previously injured. Three is about where I think it is.

> join an ongoing Plunder match
> Treasure glitches
> people die and don't respawn back
> everyone quits

Wtf.

Shit, that really is stupid. Why can't developers do something so simple? :/

Don't know the answer for the Subway thing, but last i checked dual log-in was available on the final game. come to think of it, when Odie, our MP QA lead, and Justin were playing on the Subway build on Friday, I could be certain they were dual logged in w/ splitscreen.

I thought an interesting glitch was spanning in the scenary, also ending a round in Team Objective with all three and then the game going to another round and taking the win away...

Rank 19 now, I miss seeing the currency value on screen always during the match, however Team Objective is addicting. I dont think I will play any other mode.

Hahaha. If ND can't explain why I couldn't kill someone running straight at me with my bullets hitting head, neck and chest yet they get the kill run n gun style, I'm outta here. Fucking bullshit.

Of course. I'm just saying it takes 6 rounds from a GMAL to kill. It can be done in as little as 2 bursts, but can easily take 3 or more if you are inaccurate or the other guy moves around.

To top off this awesome multiplayer experience, I just got spoiled a brand new location with the one of the background menus.
Snow covered area with a submarine in it. Naughty Dog sure loves subs and trains, huh.

That's an Uncharted 2 map just frozen I'm pretty sure.

Ooh, yay! Thanks for confirming it, I was worried there for a second :)

Exactly, good luck hitting more than 1 or 2 bullets per burst on a moving target.

I hate that. My game is always ranged and methodical, and retail UC3 shits all over that.

This isn't exactly retail. The XMB icon says "Beta" and you agree to a beta agreement when you first play. Plus, I hope there's no subway themed treasure in the full game:P

What are the other ones? And does that mean you saw a frozen Facility?

I didn't recognize it as Facility, but it's a possibility. The UC2 maps they've shown are High Rise and The Flooded Ruins.

I give up on Plunder with randoms. I've only played two matches and as usual, I'm the only one going for the idol. First match I was paired up with a party of level 30's who didn't even attempt to go and grab it. Scored all 5. Second match I was paired up with 1 level 30 and some low level players..scored 4. We lost. We could have won if my team worked with me to at least protect me while I was carrying it, but nope. I even told them nicely on the mic to help me out and nothing. Until there's an option for your character to say in-game that they "need help", "get the idol", "back up", I won't bother playing Plunder alone and only bother with it in a party. At least in Team Objective, people seem to get a general understanding to help out even if they aren't good while I'm playing solo.

Edit: A suggestion. Plunder in Yemen would be better if ND prevents access to those two huge towers. People camp up there and snipe. There's really no reason for those two towers to be accessed anyway in Plunder, IMO.

Easy as hell to avoid and/or kill whoever is in those towers.

I feel the same way. Fuck it-I'm out. It's more frustration than fun. Battlefield should scratch my multiplayer itch.
lol i found the BF3 beta to be more frustrating than fun. To each his own.

Maybe they're doing something where you can play the DLC maps in Uncharted 3 if you have them for Uncharted 2. If they were just including a selection of any of the maps in UC2 I can't see why they would include Flooded Ruins.

Yeah, when I'm the only one going after the treasure I think "if you're going to farm for kills couldn't you at least go for the guys who are distracted because they're trying to kill me?" And it's worse when your buddy is camping for kills nowhere near the treasure so there's no point in spawning on them.

Naw, FR has completely redone graphics in this game. And it's there because it's awesome.
