Finally found a goddam Subway with the U3 cups at lunch, went back home to start the download, should have it ready to play when I get back. I really enjoyed U2's multiplayer. Do most here find this one an improvement?
No. Some of us more spiteful than others though. Some have gotten used to the changes and garbage and are now supportive of it.

In a nutshell what are the most significant changes? I haven't really kept up with too much of the MP news in this game and don't want to slog through the entire thread.

Although I haven't really played it much, and haven't played much Uncharted 2, I would say:

1) The game is way faster. Everyone moves around like they're on rollerskates.
2) Everyone is a bullet sponge. 15+ shots from a Mac10 to kill someone.

What exodu5 said. Recoil bounces around sporadically, and sprint (yes, there's a sprint button), blindfire, and melee were a proplem (ie too powerful) for a while but has since been toned down.

Just had a game where the ticker in the bottom left said "The multiplayer gods smoted [dude's name]", curious as to what that means.

Probably got killed by a level deal, like the trains in london or something.

Got killed by breaking level geometry. If the train killed you, you'd see a train icon next to your name when you die.

I was in the same boat. It still sucked. Maybe it was better than other weapons but by no means great. It's like people are handed candy coated shit and acting like it's the greatest thing.

I'm going to redownload to see what the latest update did, though. Maybe I'll join in the shit feast everyone is shoveling down their throats.
And you're going to like it. Hard.

Played a couple stray matches before having lunch. That hadn't happened to me since the days I was heavily into U2. Still sporting M9, one of those matches I ended up with something like 22-5. Gun can outclass anything else available in the midrange, but feels like it lacks a bit more oomph. Little by little, I'm coming to grips with (and getting a bit better at) the fact I need to find the playstyle that suits me better depending on my weapon of choice.

I guess that sounds like Cpt. Obvious stuff, but that has really hit home as of lately. If I'm playing with M9 now, I'm going to try and pick up my fights in the distance that suits me better, instead of trying to exchange bullets half across the map with a GMAL dude, or trying to flail around like an idiot against a guy with a KAL7. That has made a difference, I guess.

I signed into facebook inside Uncharted using my friends facebook account and now I dont know how to sign out, please help :(

I find this game acceptable in it's current state. M9 + Clip Size mod is working well for me but it sucks that's the only gun worth using.

Yeah, they should make it a tad slower so that GOD MAWL is good again. Btw, game is not tracking stats for me anymore after the patch. They got reset, then I made a game with 18:11 and since then nothing changed. Sadly so because I was really hitting it home after the patch with tons of awesome kills.

Was playing team objective and after Treasure Hunter was over the Idol stayed on the map for the next two rounds and was able to be picked up and used for its 1 hit melee kill. :(

Constant connection errors are making this game really hard to play. I'm pretty sure it's from my end, but if not, it could prove problematic.

I like the idea of missions for cash in this game ,but I hate that time is still counting down while you're searching for a game.

that is one thing they have definitely screwed up. The beta had loads of treasures to collect, but they're very rare here.

Exactly my thoughts, pretty much to the word in describing my experience with the multiplayer.

Ran into someone who somehow got back the GOD-MAL, was straight up killin' on Molten Ruins with it. Shoulda watched the replay from his POV. It was like insta-death.

While I aim right at this guy standing still, three solid pops and then he runs off like nothing happened. Dunno what I'm doing wrong.

Also, dear god do I really have to hit people with pistols that much for them to go down? I'm aiming right at this guy in cover, start popping off rounds - I swear I'm hitting him in the double digits worth of lead - then he does a second of M9 and I'm out. How weird.

Still enjoying myself though.

So auto pistol still overpowered?

First beta, I was like... shoot shoot shoot, melee, taunt for ammo, shoot shoot shoot, melee, taunt for ammo.

I feel like I'm the only one here who is efficient with the G-MAL. If they buffed the pistol I wouldn't have any qualms aiming wise.

I'm glad to hear that they're paying attention to feedback on this and that changes can be made instantly server-side, but I'm gonna be staying away until they bring the focus back to gunplay. As it is now, it feels a little too much like Halo 2 with every motherfucker just running through entire magazines of fire and punching you in the head for the kill.

Not asking for COD pacing by any means, but U2 felt much better than this. Please fix it ND.

At the top right corner, there is an arrow besides home. Press it then log out.
Not on the webpage, I meant inside the Uncharted 3 multi player client. The account is always signed in whenever I play now :I

3 Team Deathmatch wins still register as losses. What the fuck man - how do you fuck that up? It's embarrassing, Naughty Dog.
I was wondering why the hell my losses went up even after this patch! no wonder. I don't really care for the win/loss ratio, but that is extremely disappointing to read.

I don't know what it is, but I'm noticing more people aiming, which is a very good thing. I'm starting to really enjoy it now. Sure, there's still the blindfire, but it's not as prevalent as it used to be in the matches I've played so far.

The Para9 has been treating me nicely as of late too. I'm getting a lot of kills with it. The rate of fire's inconsistency is the only thing that throws me off sometimes.

and what's up with my grenades not exploding sometimes? That is so weird.

That is exactly what I am using. Even Elena's G-MAL with three mods that you unlock from Team Objective treasures is not as good.

The best multiplayer shooters always have a variety of weapons that are useful. Every gun should have value.

You hear that Naughty Dog?
The problem is that nearly every weapon is less dangerous as close range than melee attacks.

I presume you can revoke permissions to UC3 via Facebook?
My friend isnt here anymore and I don't really feel like contacting them for various reasons >.>

This caught me out quite a few times. I see a gaggle of folk on the hill, chuck a grenade, wait a few seconds then go in to mop up with my shot gun only to find myself in the cross hairs of 1000 angry subway hats

They are still looking into it.

Naughty Dog said that they wanted UC3 to be the best multiplayer experience on the PS3. How can they offer the best multiplayer experience on the PS3 when they can't even get a simple stat to save correctly?

I know the game isn't officially out, and I know that they said they're looking into it - but c'mon - I played 3 games of 3 team deathmatch in a row with my friend, and all 3 counted as losses, even though we won all 3 times. What is there to "look" into?

It's just extremely disappointing to see such an amateur mistake that got overlooked so easily.

I experienced utterly incredible game-breaking lag in my matches early this morning.

I would die from a melee attack, then watch the person who killed me run around for LITERALLY 4-5 seconds (no exaggeration) before suddenly dropping dead from the bullets I hit him with 6-7 seconds ago and awarding me the kill. All kinds of crazy shit like this was happening over and over again, that was just one example.

On top of that, some of my kills were being awarded with medals but weren't registering on the scoreboard. A few times I wasn't able to pick up treasure because triangle did nothing no matter how many times I pressed it. And a couple of times after dying I got stuck in some weird camera angle and couldn't respawn for a good 20-30 seconds.

There was some seriously funky lag issue this morning. The lag literally made the game worse than unplayable and beyond atrocious. Sucks because when I'm lucky enough to get into a match with minimal lag, the game is beautiful....I'm beginning to think that many of the issues/complaints with gunplay and such are related to lag.

You weren't the only one experiencing lag today. The broken connection symbol appeared for me several times tonight and my character would stay frozen in place. There's also this bug where if you're pressing down on one direction, your character will still run in the direction you were going despite not pressing any buttons.

I can't speak for the other modes, but the Chateau stinks for deathmatch. Everyone just tries to hold that position near the zipline. It's pretty lame. I know it was like this in the beta, but it still stinks.

People that do that are easy to kill, you just need to sneak up from them from behind, where the zip line starts, preferably with a kickback. :p

I've caught many a happy camper with his pants down using this method.

Nearly every map has a place like that because they're not very well designed.

Airstrip: The 2 roofs
Syria: Center building
London: One or the other side tunnel
Yemen: Probably sees the most action all over

Congratulations! This is the grossest post yet in an Uncharted thread.

Yeah, that's nice, but I guess I'd just like the action to be more spread across the map.

Yeah, that is true. I don't think The Airstrip has been as bad as it was in the beta. At least in my experience. I don't think Syria is too bad either. I at least find myself on the edges of the map and getting kills fairly often. Chateau feels the worst for me with this issue. But Uncharted 2's maps were much better as far as having the action all around the map. Not sure if it was because of weapon pickups being a bigger deal or just the designs.

It's both.

Asymmetrical maps always lead to the action taking place in very few places, or a single place; and since the weapon pick-ups are gone, people are less inclined to leave those spots to go get them -- or ammo, since your start with a lot.

I'll let you know if I liked it or not when I try it tonight. Redownloaded it yesterday but got caught up hooking up my new 3D tv (stealth brag). I may like or dislike the shit... in my face in 3D.
