That forest shot is the single most impressive thing I've ever seen...The lighting is simply photo real...Reading all the feedback you can safely say it's going to review phenomenally! WOW!

Safe to say they more or less matched the reveal trailer, albeit at 30fps?

I don't know about reveal but it's certainly extremely close to the "regular" cut scenes we've seen.

I'd also say that lighting can also look as good as the reveal, but hey, soon we'll get to play that part and see for ourselves how it hold up.

With these, I think my job here is done till release. I hope you enjoyed the more odd, intricate, detailed pictures that show of some of the more different effects. This game is mind blowingly amazing to look at.

His watch works, doesn't It..... It just has to work. This game is getting crazy. That image of the bullet casings coming out of his rifle, and the lighting on both casings, looks amazing.

Now i'm scared to see TLOU2. The detailed clickers will be a NOPE for me.

That's my favorite screenshot from Shinobi. Have a feeling this could turn out to be the perfect PS4 game. Maybe even beat out Bloodborne, which currently sits on top for me (but had its issues which are well documented).

That's the only thing that sounds worrisome...that some people are implying the set pieces are not as impressive as I had hoped.

But I'd rather that then the mess U3 was with focusing on set pieces.

That's the one thing that actually excites me most. Not only this romp from setpiece to setpiece but an actual, grounded experience focusing on story and characters without just upping the ante with every scene. At some point, the excitement about those 'world-ending' setpieces fades a bit. Glad to hear they kept it a bit more personal and focused..

Yeah I am slightly concerned about the less OTT more grounded setpieces, although apparently the setpieces are still pretty incredible and perhaps work better within the context of the game and what this particular installment is going for. It sounds like the game is fantastically paced and perfectly executed so perhaps going too insane with the set pieces would have had a negative impact on that.

2016 Console Uncharted 4 Screenshot Thread (READ RULES IN OP)

incoming.

Uncharted 4 should get its own screenshots thread, the usual one isn't going to cut it.

We have to set up a UC4 screenshot thread .
Cause this game going to get a crazy amount of pics .

So true , DC time has come to a end hail the new king .

There was one for The Last of Us: Remastered, Infamous: Second Son and The Order 1886. I don't see why Uncharted can't get it's own either tbh!

Well I did offer to create one back in post 4021 but no-one responded.

Even the guys that said that set pieces are not as bombastic think they are really awesome and memorable, just in a different way than before, no one said they aren't impressive, I'm not worried at all about them.

Well I don't need Drake to top infiltrating and falling out of a plane or hanging off a sinking ship's chandelier, but I might be a little disappointed if the most exciting set pieces were him falling off the usual cliff or car like he does thousands of times since Uncharted 1. I hope there's something as impactful and breathtaking for the series as the train sequence was for U2.

I personally think we should wait until the game releases before creating a photo thread.

Well I was going to create some set rules that only shots from press media locations be posted and only as links, no spoilers, and if posters of images feel something might be a spoilers the can Tag it as such. Once the game releases, fair game, except a week or two of no end game spoiler shots.

SlasherJPC screenshots... oh god.

It's been a long time since Shenmue, but that was the last game that really surprised me with its details, like the watch, finger nails, crazy textures and stuff...
It feels like 1999 once again.

I checked at a smaller shop around me but they hadn't even gotten their shipment in yet. There's one other place I can think of to try on Monday, but I don't think there's much of a chance at getting a game early in Louisiana.

Great screens, I notice all your captures are JPG though. Have you not set your PS4 to PNG for Uncompressed screens yet?

My personal favorite set piece in the whole series is currently the village attack from Uncharted 2. Everyone talks about the ship, the train, and the plane; but rarely do I see people talking about playing cat and mouse with a tank while fighting off mercenaries alongside the local villagers. It was intense and fun while remaining more grounded than other set pieces, and it fit perfectly within the context of the story.

When ND says the set pieces are more grounded and better integrated into the story, I imagine them to be more like the village siege from Uncharted 2.

I have a feeling ND are going to give me a bigger wow than what they did with U2 during the PS3 gen...

Will it surpass MGS2, the GOAT of "holy shit, look at those visuals" for me? hard to believe, it was a different era back than and I think that MGS2 was the first "modern" graphics I've seen, like since that game it's all improvements based on that prototype for me, MGS2 felt visually like it's a new standard, like VR or something, hard to explain.

But there is a good chance for U4 to surpass U2's shock whick was also very big.

That was my favourite part of uc2 as well.
Really hope you're right!

I just finished my rewatch of Winter Soldier before Civil War, and man, I can't wait to hear Henry Jackman's UC4 score. His WS score is so good.

Any opinions on the OST Slasher?

I generally don't rate western game soundtracks (I just find they tend to be less memorable than many Japanese ones) but The Last of Us has a pretty great OST. I'm hoping for good things from this.
