Uncharted Movie Trailer released

what i hate most about the trailer is that it feels like uncharted 3 and makes references to uncharted 4

i don't consider uncharted 3/4 part of the uncharted series they are fanfiction
 
Looks like a fun, mindless romp just like the game. Despite all the bitching about casting and very weird mustache fetishes, the movie will do quite well.
 
I genuinely don't understand where people's expectations come from....like what in the world are you expecting to see? What would have made it better? From the previews it looks interesting enough and seems to capture the feel of the characters. It could still end up being bad but many of you are acting as if you've seen it. The casting isn't that bad. I also wanted Nathan Fillion to play Drake but so far I think the movie could turn out to be good or entertaining at-the-least.

Watch this, its so much more layered, emotional, better dialog ... etc. The Movie just feels cheap and dumped down in comparison.

I don't think it looks terrible or anything so I second this, I'll pretend its just a national treasure film and attempt to achieve a new level of stone-edness before watching to stop myself from saying "aww this was kinda more exciting in the game when I played it a decade ago". I might need edibles to get into that space though.
 
I actually thought it looked okay. Looks like a fun popcorn romp

But the trailer falls flat cause of the bizarrely bad music choice

I feel like the whole trailer would hit harder if it had the Uncharted theme in it
 
The trailer looks decent.
I can't buy Tom as Nathan. I know they go for prequel but it doesn't really work for me.

Dream: appearance of Nathan Fillion as cameo or as a narrator at this point. The guy got robbed.
 
At first I thought they're going for some kind of a kid version of Uncharted, but I think this is supposed to be an adult role for Tom Holland, which is a bit of a tough sell let's be honest.

And I get that the stuff at the end with the plane is probably meant to be a nod to the games and the crazy setpieces, but it was pretty terrible. That's quite enough CGI out of you, film, you're drunk.
 
The story actually looks pretty good.

The main issues is they didn't cast sully and drake right. Half the reason people like uncharted is because of the characters. All they had to do was make sure to get sully and drake right!
 
Sorry they had me at the beginning music from the game. I'll go see it and I'll enjoy it. It doesn't look terrible at least, actually better than I expected.
 
It will be an ok national treasure style action movie.

But Tom Holland is so far from the Nathan Drake from the games. Now if this is a orgins/younger drake story Holland is not a bad choice, but for the first movie I think they should of kept more similarity to the Nathan of the games.

He's also everything but athletic. That video everyone likes to post .... imagine that guy doing actual stunt work in any way.

I get it he's cool but it doesn't work right now.
 
They mention Sam. Bets on whether or not the walking ego Mr. Troy Baker makes his way into Hollywood by scoring the acting role for young Sam?
 
My favorite part is when Drake says "This is a map of the route Magellan took when he sailed around the world" and Sully's response is "you know your history."

Maybe it's out of complete context but if a dumb ass map of a line that Magellan took to sail around the world (the very thing he is famous for) now equates to "knowing your history" we are in serious trouble.

In this case it's not like Uncharted has any special history. It's just a generic (but big budget) treasure hunting game that only really became popular because of the lack (at the time) of a good Tomb Raider game in its place (first Uncharted came out in 2007, while the first good Tomb Raider in a long time didn't come til 2013).

As such I don't really obliged at all to say anything remarkable ;D

I actually agree with you about Uncharted to an extent. What made it special was being a game.
This is more eor less Uncharted cutscenes: the movie. Although there are mixing some events from the series, so I'll grant them that creative credit.
 
Looks terrible, and not in a fun way. I don't I'll even watch this when it gets dumped on Netflix or another streaming service. Just looks terrible
 
I think the movie looks like it will be good and entertaining. Probably lots of fan service in it which will be entertaining as well if done properly. Having Mark Wahlberg in it as well I think it will probably be successful in this. We should get at least 3 movies out of it. That's fine, I'll watch it. ;)
