Definitely it was way ahead of its time. I have one and its a pretty incredible device. I haven't used it in ages though as its going to put you at a disadvantage in most games. It's mainly for simulation stuff.

The drivers at the time were fairly limited on which games supported the profiles. What we really need are haptic feedback gloves that give sense of touch and pressure.

It's crazy how the Novint was able to simulate textures, tension and pressure.
